Yes, love that Dead End / Sunstreaker Alternator Dodge Viper mold. I like to take the doors and have them hang down next to the arms similar to G1 Sideswipe which you can also do with his Alternators figure. That's part of the fun with this line, there's a few figures where you can change up the transformation a bit like door placement and shoulder positions so figures that share molds don't look exactly alike.

Since we got news of a possible WFC releases in. Legacy EV. I took down WFC Prime from the shelf to play around with, and yes, his transformation is still super convoluted. He has a hard time standing due to the lack of heels, and top heaviness. He looks Cool though. and yes, this version has sparkly translucent plastic.

An update to that design is sorely needed.

I am personally more partial to the FOC design, It looks more like something than the farming vehicle that is the WFC Optimus. And I still find it odd that the wfc faction leaders (all of them) are deluxe sized.

The entire WFC / FOC line of toys was limited to deluxe size for some reason except for voyager Grimlock and Soundwave which is kind of odd.

The FOC Prime mold is nicer overall, but I think it works better as Magnus which is the version I own and happens to include the big honking sword.

I mean for Grimlock it makes sense, he was huge in the game. For Soundwave I assume it was so he could fit his chestbursters in him since, while the deluxe version of him had a chest cavity, it wasn't big enough to accommodate anything other than his weapons.

Probably because of money. They had Generations going already and they were just bringing out Metroplex, so they had a lot of money riding on the success of that. They were starting to get to the point where they were making figures smaller and/or the same size but with less plastic, so having a whole other toy line for a video game that already wasn't gelling with the whole aligned continuity thing was probably more of an afterthought rather than the first thing they had in mind despite the games being incredible.

I wouldn't try to think too hard about Hasbro's rational over how the FOC figures were conceptualized seeing as how they completely skipped over doing Megatron and Bumblebee (and Cliffjumper) again in the smaller size.

WFC Prime looks good in both modes, but the transformation is a chore. He's not bad by any means, but the transformations is simply not pleasant.

FOC Prime / Magnus has a more pleasant transformation even if the robot mode is not as good as WFC.

I think an updated mold with a less convoluted transformation that still looks like WFC Prime would be highly appreciated.
