And there was General Admission starting on Saturday last year. I don't know how much it was. But it is so worth getting in for the early admissions. The booths aren't all picked over yet, although you won't get as good of deals.

Sunday is the day for deals, especially close to closing time. Last year I got five hard hero busts, including Devastator, for $55. Special thanks to GetterDragun for finding that deal. ;)^

I am on a less-than-shoestring budget this year....I am debating whether I should look into packages or just do general admission (and, yes, there WAS Gen Adm. last year..I looked!) and just walk around for a couple days...If there's a package that is cheap enough, I might go for that, but otherwise, I am on the uber-cheap this year! The hotel alone will run me enough! I am just going to meet peoples and get away from work! :grin:

Go with the Protoform Package then. Gen Admission misses out on the first two days of the convention. Trust me, I know even $185 can be a steep price if you're broke, but I can also promise you wont regret it.

That's how I got some of my funding last year, and this year as well. My parents asked me what I wanted for Christmas, and I asked for donations to the BotCon Fund, lol.

Does anyone know when the Botcon registration will be opened? Is it days, weeks or months from now.

Registration just appears one day and there is a mad rush to get them in.

And you can stay at any hotel that you want and still get into the show. The one that they have listed is the one that they worked out a group rate with. Last year they had to add two more hotels because of demand.

Man, I'm going to pay for this, aren't I? Ah well... I make, what, twelve hundred, after taxes, a month so saving around fifteen hundred shouldn't be too hard...

The only fax machine I know of is at my work as well. And I will be using it, hopefully! I am having serious financial issues with BotCon, and I am getting frustrated! My family has already bought their Xmas for me, so there is no money in it for me from them

I am getting worried!!!

Beer smells bad. I do like wine, but my tastes run on the expensive side. But if the bar is where you all will hang out then I guess that is where I will show up at least to start. I do not require alchohol to have a good time.
To do it right, I would rent a top floor penthouse and have a private party with all my Seibertron friends, celebs and guests... just a random thought.

At least I'll feel a lot better knowing that there are other TF fans who aren't as big drinkers as I am. I just can't stand the taste of beer. I tasted it before when I was a kid... I spit it back out, much to the delight of my parents and their friends. I think that's why I can only handle the fruit-flavored stuff.

Kinko's and UPS Store both offer fax services.

Not sure, but I'd bet FedEx does too, if they have a store in your area.
