Got a great pic of G1 Op or BW Megs? Whether it's 2-D or 3-D it's welcome as is any other form of art outside the custom figure world.

Just a few constructive critiques/comments  :

- Would it be possible to get rid of the missile truck mode? it doens't really look like that at this point; maybe you can concentrate in the robot and jet modes and add a bit more of articulation to the bot, specially in the arms.

- Remember we need a bio that somehow shows the personality of the character too, no just a cool name.

- Please resize the sketch pics and repost them, BA changed the to links but they are still big sized pics.

I haven't had time to work on sketches yet but intend to have some done hopefully by this friday at latest.

Hey, Lord_Loqi,

One of the members (fourth_heir) had a great idea. You seen the post of pre-Transtopia Shuriken, right (link is here)? Well, do you think that maybe the drawing I did of Eternus' robot mode head could be used for his pre-Transtopia form? Just an idea (I spent a lot of time drawing that picture :D ).

Thanks,

If we do go with a diffreent helmet for the pre transtopopia that i'd want him to have another roman styled helmet. That and you have to remember, Eternus was a good guy and still thinks of himself as a good guy. the helmet you drew looks very dark and evil and really reminds me of another japanese robot series.....giakador or something like that. I know i have the name wrong so no smart comments from Iskander even though i deserve them. His head is red with horns like that and has a black body. I'm sure someone knows whichone I'm thinking about.

Using the second helmut will be up too Ra88 being he's writing the script. In that case I'd like to see something like the helmets worn by the imperial guard in starwars. The robot mode and vehicle mode would be the same.

darn I'm tired. Sorry I pulled an all nighter tuesday night. I slept here at the office for like two hours when people started showing up for work on Wed. I still haven't caught up on my sleep as I was here till Midnight last night. (very bad word) deadlines. Stop making me think MetalSamamon my brain hurts.

Yes, I agree with ImperiaxPrime, Metalsmamon, the head looks like an evil version of Mazinger Z or Jet Jaguar from 70's Godzilla movies.

I would recommend possibly starting on the color schme of your color along with the suggestions Iskander mentioned. :D

Yeah, I guess you guys are right. That does look very evil when I view in retrospect. Guess I was trying too hard to make him look cool :D . But the good news is that the idea's out there now for a pre-Transtopian version of Eternus; maybe something good will come out of this. Anything that moves the project forward is good to me.

Thanks,

P.S. Sorry for making your head hurt. That wasn't my intention.

You know, that's not a bad idea, but I'm currently designing a female figure that I'm putting a s**tload of time and effort into (I mean every single creative brain cell I have is at work here), and that head just wouldn't work for her. However, I might use that for a future figure (but if anyone else wants to use it before, so be it :D ) Thanks for the suggestion,

Actually, she's started now!

Thanks again,

HEY EVERYBODY!

My Figure For The Series Is Finally Done!

I'm really excited about this figure because it's the first one I've ever fully completed. This one took a lot of time and effort, but I'm really proud of this toy moreso than any other toy I've tried to make. So, take a look at the pictures and read the bio and tell me what you think. I think that I finally got a toy and a bio that are kick-a**, but that's my opinion. Thanks,

DELPHINIA

I think the bot mode looks a bit rough, specially the reformers head, maybe you can add a visor or something, the alt mode looks pretty neat though.

One question, what's the size class of Delphinia, I need it for the official list (I listed her as a basic until you let me know her true size), also I edited your post to remove the bio, you already posted it at the proper thread.

For a first custom I think it looks pretty badass, although a little rough like Iskander said..
Maybe do what he said and add a visor or something, I think that will work our great.

That's a good idea. Right now she has a really big forehead, and so a visor might do the trick.

She's an ultra-sized figure due to her height and wingspan (I used a fairy princess doll  and a DICE Hoverptera if that gives you an idea of her size). Also, I posted my bio on this page first before I realized I had put it in the wrong space  , so thanks Iskander for removing it from this page. I hope she will fit in well with the series, and I will post revised pics of her "Reformers" head as soon as I make the changes.

Thanks,

What you did was bad, very bad. To digitally enhance a self made custom figure is bad advertising for us and yourself.
You're still building a reputation in this community, you have to understand no one will support a fakey..

It's good you made a formal appology.
But why didnt you told it from the start (visor addition with photoshop) ?

OK guys let's all help MetalSamamon make a better figure:

-First suggestion, get a completely new head, since is your first kitbash, you don't really need to come up with any special gimmick, just find a good robotic head (bootlegs are great for finding good parts) and replace the one you have now, it's just too big.

-Second, make sure your figure can stand on her own, maybe she needs bigger feet or legs or whatever.

Hear what the rest of the guys can suggest and you'll be able to make some nice changes, then before you paint her, remember to post some WIPs

It's hardly a problem - all I have at the moment is a quick sketch of a female form suitably posed to carry those two huge guns you gave her. I won't start on your character until I've finished Deceptor for Ra88 so you've plenty of time for alterations. :)

MS, it's not the end of the world man.

You need to chill. Really.

When it comes to customizing, do you think that the rest of us just knew how to do it overnight?

Nope.

I've been doing this for over a decade now man and I'm still learnning and still switching parts on old figures to update them and make them better.

It's a prossess. There is NO WAY you are going to learn what we all already know overnight.

Your best bet is to scrap her to be hounest. Keep the backpack/Wings but get rid of the doll man.Not only does that shame you as a kitbasher but as a transfan and a guy as well using a Doll for this. (You are a dude right? If not I oppologize.)

You can have the same height and figure for her without using a doll.

Think of it like this...You need a busty robot body.No that it needs boobs culpted but something with en extended chest area. Thin arms, thin theighs, and a more rounded head. You can have bulky lower legs and just say they are boots.

Don't have alot of money? Get KO's!

We as kitbashes spare no exspence for our craft even if it causes us to use the only copy of a figure we have in a particular line.Sacrifice is needed man. If your too afraid to chop up a TF then there really is no point in continuing. Not to be mean, but it's true.

Get rid of the doll and start over.

If you insist on the doll then you will be ommitted.

I don't want Dolls on the site! This is not a Barbie kitbash forum/site. It's a transformers fan site.Unless you are using a real Transforming action figure, I personally CANNOT except your entry.

When this comic is ready to go to full force I'm going to be the one footing the bill to have it created (IF Josh is still going to do it, where is he anyway?), and I WILL NOT pay to have a Doll drawn into it.

You are not being kicked out of partisipating, but you will if you don't try some other material bucause I just can't offord it.

It's nothing personal, I don't even know you so it can't be, but I am the main guy around here and everyone will tell you that, and I don't think a doll customized and submitted to a TF kitbashing site, the best one on the net at that, just looks very unprofessional and it does reflect on the rest of the members here and the work they have busted their butt to do, and I can't allow that.

You need to either start over with the figure or just share in the forums and keep out of the project.

Your choice.

Your Description brings Beast Machines Black Arachnia's mold to mind, perhaps that and some good bionicle tooling is just what is needed?

Just thought I'd add that, as an idea.

You're right, TFM.

You're the "bigbot" around here, and what you say, goes.

I'll do the figure over with a new female body, but I was wondering if she could still have a human-like "Reformers" robot mode (She will be 100% robot with a TF base, & have a mechanical appearance, but she was supposed to be beautiful in her robot mode; not just have an ordinary female face and body)? Is that possible?

I'm not trying to bring down the site; I thought that this might be something really creative that no one had ever tried before. You know, something unique that might get me noticed in the TF community as someone who thinks outside the box. If I knew that you hated dolls that much; I wouldn't have even tried it! Honestly! I was even considering maybe this being her astral plane form (considering it would be used only once in the comic), but after reading your reply; I'm guessing that's not a possibility, right?

I know that it's not the end of the world, but I'm really an amatuer at kitbashing, and I'm still trying to learn how to make good, clean transforming toys that are 100% custom.

But for your sake, the sake of TFMaster.com, and the sake of the Transtopia project; I'll do it all over again (no matter what it takes)!!!

I think that this was a great learning experience, and I still want to be a part of this project. I will do whatever it takes so I can stay as a part of this project, even if it means another of my toys gets scrapped (this would be #3 following BW Tusk Megatron and the "other" figure for Transtopia) :( , but anything for the project. It must go on.

Thanks for your input, TFM. It actually helped.

P.S. I'm a guy. I just don't think like everybody else; I like to try new ideas and get really creative, that's all. BTW, I'm not too afraid to chop up a TF or two. I have no pride to hurt, no shame, no regrets. If I did; I probably would have went into an insane asylum by now (haha).

Also, to Xalticus, I like that idea of BM Blackarachnia, but Delphinia is ultra-sized and Blackarachnia is deluxe. Maybe if Korea did a oversized knockoff or something, I could use it, otherwise, I'll probably need an ultra-sized TF and give him female "parts" . As for the bionicle tooling, I don't even own a Bionicle figure. Sorry.

Thanks again.

MS. try looking at some of the entries for the fembot contest we had a while back. maybe you can gain some insperation there. Also don't restrict yourself to one size. use what you can find. even if it becomes a basic that's not a problem.

New Delphinia figure for series, maybe?

Postby MetalSamamon » Mon May 02, 2005 10:21 am

Well, I just canned my Delphinia design with the doll, so I went to my local TRU and looked for a BM Blackarachnia figure (Universe, too). I didn't find one, but I did find something that gave me an idea.

I thought that maybe instead of Delphinia being one figure, it could be 2 powerlinx sisters! I just loved the idea when I came up with it, and I thought it would be an interesting change (there have never been powerlinking sisters before!).

I did some work already, and made it so Tow-Line could become a lower-half Powerlinx robot, and have a new vehicle mode (I plan on painting windows on the legs).

But now I'm not so sure if you would like a new Delphinia like this. Perhaps this should be a 100% new figure with no ties to Delphinia, but still be sisters.

So now I want to know what you think: Should these two be new figures for Transtopia, or should they be Delphie and Enia for the new Delphinia?

Please reply and let me know. Thanks.

I love the way you transformed Tow-Line into pants mode. I'm gonna have to try doing that to him and combine him with other figures.
