Sure I could go ahead and post missions with my Lev 1's showing how i've been outnumbered and still won, or still racked up massive EXP. But that would be redundant. This game is no more than picking a couple stats to increase, and then simply praying that your luck will help your mono-coloured TF. Sure, it's great that I'll beat Preds, or Cons, or even Furries, but hey, it just means I've given up a higher percentage of my soul than you did to this HMW game.

Honestly though, If someone posts here and doesn't expect to get **** brained by the 90% Decepticon population in this forum, then they are blind. Okay, so I don't appreciate all the slag I'm getting here, but hey, it happens. So y'know what. I will take my missions that I win outnumbered and brag about it. I'll take my missions that I win when outnumbering and I'll also brag about it.

As someone who's been on the receiving end, it does get disheartening to come on here and feel like you're being shouted down by five other posters with no one to back you up.

It's why I mostly stick to game discussion and shy away from getting in any pissing contests. Plus the fact that such things tend to go from friendly (and fun) to nasty way too fast.

I agree whole-heartedly with this - back when the clans were being incorporated into the game, I remember trying to put up a fight and garnering support in Iacon - but it didn't work, and I got sick of it so just stopped posting in anything that was based on faction rivalries.

And this is where a big problem is.

The "pissing contests" can be fun, provided people know not to take it too seriously. And if they do, then they should discuss it with the person who's giving them the problem.

I know over the years many people have had a problem with me, but rather than coming to me and discussing it they've instead allowed things to fester and come to really hate me. How am I suppose to know i'm offending someone (be in intentionally or unintentionally) if i'm not told? Same goes for everyone else. None of us are mind readers and emotions and inflections are hard to convey through the written word.

It's all about communication. People can either walk away and diminish the forums and the game overall, or they could sit down and talk things out with others. All i'm saying is give peace a chance ... nah I kid, that just popped into my head. I don't expect everyone to get along, but tolerance is better than nothing.

And I enjoy the pissing contests too, I just wasn't sure how anal the mods have gotten with those kind of threads and didn't feel like getting slapped on the wrist my first few days back.

They're okay with it, provided it's done in good fun and not meant to offend.

For example "Hey Sharpwing! The Amigos rode your ass into the ground again!" would horrify someone, but Sharpy can handle it and the Mods know what the Amigos have done to Sharpwing for so long.

Whereas something like "Hey Evolution Prime! I beat your gay fag arse in the arena! HAHAHAHA!" is just plain wrong.
