THIS STORY IS NOTHING MORE THAN MICHAEL BAY ATTEMPTING TO GET SYMPATHY.
This "shocking story" is just boob bait for morons, so they'll go, "Woah, death threats? I might not be too happy with Bay, but he doesn't desrve to DIE!"
...followed by going out and watching it...
Stop being suckers, people.
And, somewhere out in Hollywood, an arrogant jackass laughs...

"I did get a lot of flak from fans on the internet. They'd be like, 'Michael Bay wrecked my childhood. Michael Bay, you suck. We're gonna protest this at your office.' Some did - they protested at my old office, apparently. But it was the death threats that really freaked me out".

Or at all, frankly.

In the last couple of days I have seen some very hastily written, and downright mean comments. I appreciate that you're angry, but please take a moment and intelligently lay out your thoughts. You tend to not look very intelligent when all that you post is something akin to, "this is the worst piece of $#@! that I have ever seen. Somebody has to pay for this!" It is definitely your right to talk about your displeasure, but please put some thought into it.

ignorant? say what you want, but that makes no sense. these threats are threats that are the result of acquired knowledge-not the lack* of it.Mr. Kemp wrote:This is honestly pathetic. how the hell would these guys know whether or not to kill michael bay if they DONT watch the movie??
Burn wrote:You guys do realise you're condemning some of your own fellow Seibertronians right?
Yeah, that's right ... people posted such things about Bay right here in these forums.
Sorry but a public apology would serve what? I for one am not going to apologise for the comments of an idiot.
Burn wrote:Can someone explain to me why a bunch of people who have been here for ages are now suddenly amazed at this news? Was I the only one seeing the death threats and "Michael Bay raped my child hood" comments on this forum a few times each week for the past year and a half?
P.S. why is Transformers shortened to TF when "transformers" is one word? it doesn't make sense

Uh, because Ting is a golf term?I guess it's by Syllable. "Trans-Form" The "ers" is just saying one who transforms. And TFE looks funny.
Lady_Decepticon wrote:You know.....I just can't say I didn't see this coming. I'm not saying I agree with this, but there are some fans out there who would just get so angry they'd do something of this nature. I seem to recall this happening regularly in the GINO (1998 American Godzilla movie) Messageboards. It was so hostile in there Tristar closed them right down because there were too many users of this calibre sending in death threats via the messageboards. I don't really think these people are honestly wanting to kill Bay and are planning his execution as we speak. It's just a knee jerk reaction to what they think is a defilement. I don't know what else to say here other than that I expected this type of behavior because I've seen it all before.

I think it's sad but, at the same time, not terribly surprising. As mentioned before, Skir got the same thing(and, to be real honest, Skir was more combative with fans than Bay EVER has been).
