Energon Earning
Is HMW the only way to earn energon? Or does that Battle Beasts mini-game actually work (and if so, is it worth tinkering with it)? I ask because I want to try and get an idea for the tens of millions of energon I'm gonna need for when my characters all ultimately get rank 10 armor, and given that I'm generally hovering around the 2 million energon mark, I just want to get an idea of ways to increase my energon earnings without trying to bum off anyone else.

Battle Beasts is NOT worth it.

No shame in bumming off others occasionally.
Especially those with established teams that hardly ever reset or buy anything. They literally have nothing to spend it all on.
I've bummed at least 2 mil off Steve for armor, and that's nothing compared to what I've gathered over the years to fund TAG testing.

Heh. If only my energon gains were like the XP gains I've had on Incognito the last week or so, I'd have more than double what I have now. Granted, I'm not poor by any means (though it looks like someone (or some people) have apparently already donated something like 1.2 million energon -- I was sitting at 1,822,000-ish, now I'm 3,071,122; thanks for that, whoever donated), I just looked more in-depth at the armor prices and realized that if I wanted 10 tons of Nano-Regenerative armor, I'd need to be prepared for 1.9M energon to switch over. To keep it cheap, I'd also have to wait for that altmode to pop up in rotation and hit rank 10 in XP after having STR 10/END 10 already set -- otherwise I'm paying for the armor I'm currently wearing to be removed (and making the wait time for that character increase by a fair margin).

Typically, factoring in shut outs, I average a net gain of about 300k energon in a good week. Slow weeks, about 100k. It requires some juggling, and easing into armor upgrades, but it is logistically do-able. Putting 10 tons of nano on 4 characters at once, not so much. But the odds of you ending up with them all ready at once are slim. You'll soon start noticing that some of your characters will run away, some will simmer, and some will advance at a reasonable pace.
Burn has been putting updated energon payouts on missions, not sure of his progress at certain levels/missions, but I've seen adjustments to some missions already. 1-10 and 1-11 are going to probably be your best pays right now.
And he's dead right, they actually had to recode back in the day because people ended up with negative energon balances from trying to break even on Battle Beasts. Gambling always favors the house.
