Actually, I think the bots and cons where branch offs of the originals. Either way, Maximals are still pretenders to the throne.

The Autobots would have come before the Decepticons. According to IDW it was until Megatron was basicly sick of the Autobots that the Decepticon were born.

As for the Maximals and Predacons. They are the upgraded form of the Bots and Cons. Like it or not, old timers, we Maximals and the Preds are more effecient.

You mean the DOWNGRADED versions of Decepticons/autobots.

That seems like a small plot hole to me. How can you have an Autobot faction if there are no others? Surely they would just be Cybertronians?

Ya know the great thing about being outnumbered 3 to 1 and 4 to 1 is? It's that if you win, you have bragging rights for winning against really bad odds, and if you lose then the other side can't really rub it in your face because you were so outnumbered. But nice try. If the only way you can beat us is when you have us outnumbered, then I guess that's the best you guys can muster up for a comeback.

Here, 3 lvl 3's couldn't take out 2 of our lvl 1's and only 1 lvl 3.
