He's not shipping yet because they (FP) are probably still boxing them. Super special people are given one extra early so they can make video reviews and tempt us to spend our money.

Agamemnon wrote:I'm sorry. I probably shouldn't let this bug me so much. I think it's phrases like, "The 3rd party constructicons need to deluxe scale." (Emphasis mine.) Why do they "need" to be? The scales in the cartoon shifted massively from episode to episode. Perhaps you would prefer to see them deluxe and that is why you prefer Giant to Herc. But others may not feel the same way. Personally I prefer how the combined mode of Herc looks with my classics figures. But I wouldn't say that the Constructicons need to be voyager size. I prefer them that size. I'm happy with Herc. And I think discussions about scale tend to go nowhere and end up being very silly. (I also agree with Mkall's take on the replication of mining vehicles, but I think that is more of a matter of aesthetics as well as scale.)
Does that make sense?
Tsutsukakushi wrote:To be in accurate 1980's cartoon scale. The 3rd party constructicons need to deluxe scale. As this is the scale Hasbro has given to the classics autobots cars. In the 1980's cartoon, the Constructicons were car autobots size. Having each 3rd party constructicon being voyager size is too big & not 1980's cartoon scale.
Tsutsukakushi wrote:Like most have stated & noticed. doing any type of cartoon series size charts makes no sense. as the animators 30 years ago did rush jobs & didn't care about the big details. the proof is in the 1980's TF episodes. as characters often appear bigger or smaller from scene to scene or from episode to episode. 30 years ago, some characters appeared bigger in one mode & tiny in the other mode.

Intimidator/M3 seems to be slightly taller than Giant, but MT's Computron doesn't seem to be any bigger (from what I've seen). On the other hand, TFC's combiners have been getting bigger, and Warbotron's are even bigger than that.Sodan-1 wrote:To those who say FansProject's combiner figure sizes are too small, between FansProject and MakeToys the figures seem to have been subtly increasing in size with every set. It suggests they realised they'd maybe pigeon-holed themselves tailoring to the Energon combiners, and they're maybe trying to get out of it.

As it is, my gestalt lineup (from smallest to biggest) will be Intimidator/M3. Hercules, & Feral Rex. I have no problem with the size differences among these 3, but I really hope future releases stay in this range.
I do find it funny that 3rd Party combiners have the opposite problem of Hasbro deluxes.![]()

Third parties seem to have worked toward making their figures, particularly the Gestalts, larger, while Hasbro's deluxes seem to have shrunk over the last 5 years or so. Example, Warbotron (new Bruticus) will be HUGE (as is the central figure in TFC's Predaking). Trace is bigger than Aurora and Grindrod, showing a bit of a tendency toward growing.
I don't think it's that big a deal except that everything is getting expensive! Those 3rd party growth spurts are likely to push gestalt figures well over $100, in my estimation. And I don't like that I am getting less bang for the buck in Hasbro deluxes, especially if they push $20 again like a while back. (That was shocking. I think I remember seeing FoC figures for $17 at my local Target. Crazy!)
