This pic of the proto shows him, taking into account perspective/distance/whatever, to be considerably shorter in bot mode than MP Grimlock, seen here in the background.
Now, I dont have my tape measure handy, but scale wise wouldnt he look better along side Voyager Grimlock? :???:

Actually, considering how big the dinobots were in the season 1-2 G1 cartoon episodes, these would make fine classics scale dinobots. Its a shame grimlock has to be bigger to accommodate the stupid combiner gimmick.

You've said you wanted Sludge to be bigger than you other Dinobots. Mixing and matching from the plethora of Dinobot choices may be a great idea for you!

As a Combiner this appears to be WAAAAYYYYY bigger than MMC Predaking, so that aspect may be out for me, but I DO like my Dinobots to be big, so this might still work for me.

I'm watching all of these with interest.

agreed except i love the combiner idea. curious to see how toyworld's version of these compare in size and appearence. all 3rd parties need to do an upfront reveal like this so the transfan can make an educated decision.

Think this is a really low price for a toy that is a Eight inch plus Ultra toy that's also a tripple changer.

These toys, for me, look like MP sculpted Classics scaled toys. So it's the best of both worlds here. At any rate it's better paying $550 for Five of these GC Dinobots, Instead of paying $1000 for the FT and GP MP Dinobots.

Think these GC Dinobots are great all by themselves. Think these GC Dinobots look far better than the FP, PX and MF Classics Dinobots.

If the only problem here is the oversized gestalt mode. Then I'd suggest not combining the toys, make believe the gestalt mode does not exist. suggest to treat this as non-combining singular toys.

Well technically there's never been a canonical Dinobot combiner (Except for The Beast, who less combines and more forms out of the torn apart fragments of the Dinobots' bodies) so there's no real yardstick to compare the combined size to- and the Dinobots were always meant to be huge (or at least they were when the animators weren't screwing it up) so it stands to reason that a Dinobot combiner would be XBAWKS HUEG.

As for the "Sludge should be bigger than Grimlock" thing, real life Apatosauruses, and most other sauropods that weren't the colossal Diplodocus, weren't that much bigger than the T-Rex. That said, I think the combiner thing could work with Sludge being huge if you made Sludge turn into the entire lower body and legs, with Grimlock being the upper body, Slag and Snarl being the arms and Swoop being the wing pack.

This does look good, but the feet look a bit big and the storage for the combiner feet in Dino mode is questionable.
