Well, yeah they are both cool enough. Plus, you get a Televiper which we have not been given in single packs yet. Oh and Breaker, not as good as his comic two pack version, but still a good purchase.

I really wish I had the money to be collecting Joes again. I had so many growing up. They were some of my favorites. By the time I'm financially able to start buying figures again all these 25th anniversary figures are going to be outrageously priced :-(

I come to this thread to talk about JOE figs, post my findings, and give my opinion. I just don't like the colorscheme. That's it. That's what I think. Yes it is like the original, but the yellow and reds are the only things I don't like about his fig. I never really owned Blowtorch as a kid but then again, there were a bunch of TF's I didn't own either. I was one of the crowd getting a little bit of everything during those days. I came along late with JOE figs during the 80's and JOES were not the only things I was getting.

Calm down, calm down... CB's just asking if the colors are what you remember from childhood, he's not attacking your opinion on the fact that they are Ronald McDonaldy, and garish, and certainly are very bright for a military toy. But that was before the Eco joes.

Thank you!
I don't know why some people are so damned touchy sometimes.

On another note I snagged The Ghost Hawk and Sing Raider today.
I love both vehicles!!
Get them if you find them!
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

I got them from BBTS before Christmas. I really like them too! I like the upgrades they did to each when they made them brand new molds.

One issue I have, is that I could NOT open the cockpit on the Sting Raider. I know it is supposed to come off. But everything I tried makes me feel like to do it I am going to break it! I kow on the vintage one you had to squeeze the sides in, but on this one, nothing worked.

Hisstank.com has posted a listing for the movie toys.
http://www.hisstank.com/gi-joe-news/gi- ... ings-7890/

I can't wait to see what that HQ looks like and the Night Raven. Hopefully the HQ looks good enough to buy and doesn't cost too much.

I somehow think it'll be around the $60 range. If it looks cool enough and mildly similar to the vintage play sets, I'll pick one up. If they make some kind of futuristic mess then I'll pass, though, I've been impressed with about half of the movie stuff I've seen so far. So I have hope it'll look good.

Resolute Cobra Soldier is even better. I really, really, like him. His weapons are fantastic, and he is a nice new version of a Cobra soldier. Just picked me up another one of him yesterday.

I picked up Resolute Duke and Cobra Commander, and Blowtorch today. I was hoping to get the Air Command set, but all TRU had was the IG and Sea sets.

Resolute Duke is cool. I especially like his rifle. He's taken the place as the Duke I put infront of all my G.I. Joes. I think he's the best Duke we've gotten since the 25th Anniversary started.
I like the Cobra Commander figure, but I think he would have looked better off with a cape then what they gave him. I especially like the Helmet and head.
Blowtorch is ugly, but he's a good figure. Goes great alongside Barbecue.

Well I haven't gotten any updates in a few days so Happy New Year to all. I ordered Wave 7 of the comic packs from HTS so that's something I can take off my huge and growing BBTS list. By the by, anybody get the recent wave of 12" figs. I know a lot of you weren't impressed with the earlier guys but perhaps CC or Duke caught your attention. I do find it funny that CC comes with a Springfield rifle and short sleeves.

Well today I got duke and cobra trooper resolute edition and I have to say that tigertracks was right about the cobra trooper he is a really cool and detailed figure. I still have a soft spot in my heart for the new cobra commander his outfit is just so cool the ripped overcoat just makes him look like he has been in a lot of battles. I also finally got single card cobra B.A.T. which is really different from the arise sepentor arise edition.

I’ll be buying three sets. I think they look interesting, plus I can use them to flesh out my Iron Grenadier ranks.

Does anyone have any guess as to when we’ll see some pre-orders for the Alley Vipers? I’m kind of guessing they’ll come out April/May, but we don’t even have pre-orders for wave 2 (09) yet. I need my squad of these guys bad! :-(

Imagine hooded Storm Shadow, plus CP gear and legs, with (corrected) Duke arms. I don’t have him yet, but the combination of parts is interesting. He is an homage to the 1992 mail-in exclusive Ninja Viper. Unfortunately, he’s pretty inaccurate to that figure.

I plan on buying some too when I can find them, though I think I’m going to just start buying from BBTS since all of my local stores suck.

Major haul today. I was able to get the Iron Grenedier 3-Pack, a second Ultimate Battle Pack, Snow Job ( he was a bastard to find), Cobra Fang and Claw, DVD Battles Pack 3 ( no harness for my Dusty though, argh!), and a Cobra Bazooka Trooper ( this wave was the hardest to find).

I can't wait to pick up the Night Raven, I hope that they keep it as close to the original, complete with drone. As for the Joe HQ, it would be great if it were the 1983 mold and not the overused 1990's model, but that might just be wishful thinking. On the subject, the original HQ mold was supposed to be reused in for the 2000 line in desert camo colors, FYI. Who knows?

Well guys with the new year comes the official end of sorts of the extended 25th anniversary. As the line transitions into Resolution and later the movie we must take a moment to pause and look back on what was probably the most successful anniversary line; at least on these shores. A few months ago I asked you guys to think about the best and worst of the line well it's time. 5 best 5 worst. For a switch I'm going to start with the 5 worst.

1. Cobra Viper mold and derivatives-Can't hold his gun normally. Wow.
2. Gung Ho/Torch- can't lift his arm past 90? WTF?
3. Single Pack General Hawk- The one think worse than Duke arms.
4. Any figure made with Duke arms- do I have to explain this one?
5. Single pack CC with the MASS crystals- The mold got repainted so many times that his legs were warped and his helmet doesn't fit right, let alone one working hand.

G.I. JOE Comic Pack: Snake Eyes and Hard Master

The only figs I can comment on are SE and Hard Master (he, he, he, hard) Anyway be careful with the hard masters head band as once you take it off it becomes a tad loose. Also the weapons are made of soft plastic that can easily bend. Other than that they both look really cool and I dig the swords.

Well I must have been temporarily blinded by the swords to not notice that Hard Master suffers from slit wrist syndrome and SE can barely hold his sword at all due to the Bo staff being packaged in his hand. I'm sure with time, heat and pressure these problems can be corrected but again, why Hasbro why?

For anyone who is looking for the first three resolute figures you might just want to wait a little bit because Hasbro is doing a five pack of the first three figures plus two new one in a crimson and black color scheme and duke comes in a black and white color scheme with a glider. Here is a link to the picture on G.I. Joe Club website: http://gijoeclub.com/2009set03-1.cfm. I'm surprised that no one has had anything to say about this bit of information.
