Beachhead is worth it and as I said so is desert battle storm shadow is also worth it. The repaint of movie cobra commander is nice as well. I also like jungle attack duke, but just because he looks like a complete bad ass with every heavy machine gun know to man at his disposal. Haven't picked up the new snake eyes yet not sure if I will might wait for city battle version.

i got POC firefly and cobra commander. Is CC a variant case card because all of the ones ive seen so far are red and say cobra? Are they just doin this for wave 1 release? Ans why does CC resemble the movie version?

It's supposed to be a sort of chase/variant figure.

Because we are still talking POC, Pursuit of Cobra, taking place after the Rise of Cobra-- so Cobra Commander is the same. It's kind of a collector's piece. It was going to be a send away figure and then they canned that idea, and through it in here.

I was watching Predator on G4 trying to figure out which guy Jungle Assault Duke is supposed to be. If I can figure it out, it may make a difference as to whether I buy him or not.

1) Arnold, since he's the leader. Obviously Duke has to look like Duke so no head homage.

2) little known fact Duke was supposed to be in Predator but he was such a better actor and more physically imposing than the rest of the cast he got edited out.

That 'duke' is Solid Snake, ready to eat some animals. Well, other than the hair, I mean.

NOw that you say it, yeah he is. I was trying to figure out where I saw the bandanna/headband before and that's what was throwing me off the whole Predator trail, cause none of them had one like it, except Billy sort of did.

O.k. tomorrow target stores nation wide will have finished there reset and g.i.joe poc single pack figures will $6.99 a piece unstead of $7.49 at toy r us. Also all of the vehicle packs are cheaper as well target.

I'll believe it when I see it. I hate to say it I'm more interested in the MU Iron Man/Punisher 2 pack.

What is a chase figure I'm still trying to figure that one out since there calling cobra commander from the first wave poc figures that.

Basically you need two people; one to run with the figure so you can chase after it.

Well I've covered myself in vaseline and rolled out the bear skin rug you know what that means… I got new figures. First thing is the figures are numbered, this now means I have to have them all. If I have 4 and 6 I HAVE to get 5 you understand right? This is who I have thus far:

Jungle Duke
CA Beachhead
Desert SE
And lucky to have found one

Chase Cobra Commander.

I'll probably get SS now that I know he can hold most of his weapons. That's my big complaint thus far, outside of sheaths for the knives these guys have little to no weapon storage. I think that's a big step back from the anniversary era which tells me that ROC/Resolute/POC is moving away from "collector" to "toy" it'll be interesting to see how they sell.

Why is the Srgt. Slaughter figure, or even character, that popular? If I wanted them, I'd pay the eBay price for not being fortunate enough to get them from HTS, or at the actual COn. I don't. Just like my 25th collection will never be quite complete because I am missing Roddy Piper... but I don't really care about him anyway.

First Hasbro hasn't said anything definite on releasing Sarge so I'm putting this under "believe it when I see it. Now as to why he's popular, people tend to forget or not know that Sargent Slaughter was the most popular wrestler in the WWF before Hulk Hogan, even during the first year(s) of Hulkamania. (pointless trivia, Slaughter appeared on more covers of WWF magazine at the time.) he was the only celebrity Joe to be featured on the toon and well, he's cool.

By the way TT I know about the pod cast, haven't had a chance but can't wait to put a voice to the name.

Because he's NOT Sci-Fi.

It`s a simple fact, while almost every joe character is just that a character, Sarge is a real person, we can meet him, talk to him, see him on TV on a somewhat regular basis.

Don`t discount that has a huge effect on his popularity.

Well that and he beat the Iron Sheik. Let's not forget the actor/contractor who played Duke in the commercials from the early 90's. Hasbro really could be using him now.

I like that we're getting a Sarge, I want one.

I can't get Beachhead to hold any of his guns in a natural two-handed pose. I had to give him an M16 with grenade launcher instead.
