I'm hoping that the TRU's in my area are getting the POC specials. Looking at Spirit, I just feel that is the wrong look for him, but that body might work well with a head swap from Ripper, for an updated look.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you wrote a comic that explains this nicely. By the way if you haven't watched episode 100 yet then you're really missing out it is a truly masterful work of art.
tigertracks 24 wrote:The new POC Firefly. Very weird. I understand the whole armor stuff for his whole, "I'm a saboteur using explosives" deal. He looks even worse without the vest though.
Both heads are trash. The one is close to regular, but still not good, and the other is this weird alien thing, I know it's got a function, but it reminds me more of like Jet Jaguar (please excuse my Japanese/Asian film knowledge)... So different.
The backpack is cool though, and fits the smaller head, and the two- 'Helix' pistols he comes with (don't like-too small). His rifle is cool, and the mini-bombs are cool. The forearm gauntlets though make him look like he is ready to go play Bakugan.
But the accessories are the only thing good about him, IMO.
I also bought Snow Job. Superb figure, but I also have a love for arctic figures. Snow job is very real to his character, reminding me more of Mark Wahlberg's 'Sniper' character with the huge rifle, and cover blanket he can use.
The skies are HUGE! WOW! And yet they still fit and store on his pack, as do his ski poles, his lantern, his gas can, and his 'frying pan'.

Wait 2 heads? I remember hearing about a firefly variant, please don't tell me they went through with it. By the by, not being up on the whole Japanese anime thing, is a good thing.

Two heads...one jj like and another that has some sort of boxy aspirator looking thing on it.
shortround wrote:Yep both heads for firefly are in same package. I have him as well I don't think he is that bad. I think what there trying to do with pursuit of cobra figures is introduce some some figures that have the style of the new t.v. show which takes place in the near future and that is why firefly is like that.

Yeah, it's not a variant to hunt down, it looks like in package it comes with a helmet, but it is actually a head to replace the other, if you so desire.
I don't hate it shortround, I just don't necessarily like it either. I'm such an FF collector, there are styles I know I like and those I know I don't. This ranks above the Ninja Force, but it's not great.
Editor wrote:Funny, all of those hit retail near me, even have a couple.
shortround wrote:Yep I'm the proud own of POC doom cycle. Amazing vehicle and the insert doubles as diarama. The ghost hawk was there to but I passed on that.
