They were first made into toys in 1992 and 1993 for the G.I. Joe "Drug Elimination Force" subset, but was released as Battle Corps.
Wikipedia lists the G.I. Joe Sub-team the Drug Elimination Force as they're enemies.
I can't seem to find info of them appearing in any other media though, so they may have only been toys.

I think that people who buy it for that price simply have money to burn. I don't know that they will have a problem filling orders. They didn't have problems filling the removable hood StShadow, or the Agent Faces Crimson Guard (that I remember).

I would say that people assuming that there are not enough for all are seriously underestimating HASBRO.

Well the check for the doc figure just cleared today so Image it will be on it's way in the next couple of days. I just thought I would let you guys know that there is hope after all, also it was eight weeks if my count is correct since I sent it in on april 8th.

But they were not even going to start shipping them until May at some point, so the 8 weeks does not start counting until after that day passes. From then you can start counting your 8 weeks.

Well the G.I. Joe convention box-set figures look bad ass I have to say that I really like the B.A.T. figures.

I'm hoping they give the characters from the new box set the 25th anniversary treatment eventually, especially the Headhunter Guards and Stormtroopers as I like they're looks, and the B.A.T. they could just make a repaint of the upcoming one.
I don't think people would be mad over it as it wouldn't be the same mold or classic Joe style being used to make them for the 25th Anniversary Line.
If I could afford it I'd probably get the box set as they would all probably look good next to my 25th Anniversary Figures despite the style difference.

Seriously though, it is a cool figure. And he was one of my first joes, and serves a very important purpose on the team-- well, if they had ever gotten shot/injured on the cartoon.

Well just look at the comic he did serve a usefully purpose there since the joes were always being shot and needing patching up. Heck hawk was in a coma for awhile so you can take you hawk figure and have doc care for him just like in the comic.

Has anyone noticed how the movie version of hawk looks more like flint than hawk.

I noticed that as well. I wonder what will happen if they bring in Flint in a future movie. I wonder what Flint would look like if they introduce him into one of the sequels, if he'll be dressed like that too or if they'll give him one of the battle suits or whatever they are called.

I finally got the H.I.S.S. Driver today. Thankfully he fits in my H.I.S.S. IV but unless it's fully deployed and the cockpit is open you can't see him.

To bad they aren't to my knowledge releasing a TerrorDrome to go with the Firebat. Maybe someday they will but it seems unlikely with Hasbro's, or some of the teams, views on playsets.

Keep in mind that today all the branches of the military wear berets so there will be some similarities there. Something tells me that if they continue down the international route Flint will be more like Lt. Stone from Sigma 6.

Oh man... the Rattler. I'm gonna have to get a few of those babies. The Vehicles are shaping up to be good.

But, I'm, kind of disappointed witht he basics line, nothing really new aside Blowtorch, Tripwire a few new Cobra grunts, some being repaints. Where's Covergirl? Quick Kick? Dusty? Lifeline? the other season 2 and Movie JOES that haven't been announced? Mindbender and the remaining Dreadnoks? Why waste waves on Duke, CC, Stormshadow, Snake Eyes and that pitiful excuse of a Cobra leader, Serpentor? I know they're the most recognizable but there are other charatcers on our want lists.

I would imagine the Wild Bill in the 2 pack will end up being a more cartoon-accurate colored verison. But I would like Scrap Iron.

As for playsets, aside the Pit, pigs would probably learn to fly before we ever saw the Terrordome.

I’m looking forward to a lot of this stuff, but as mentioned, I’m not sure I can stomach more CC and Duke.

The dreadnoks I'm hoping they do are Road pig,Thrasher with the thunder machine,Monkey wrench,Zarana,Zandar and Zanya. Plus I would love to see a sky striker to go with my ace figure.

Perhaps the elements have to do with the MASS DEVICE or WEATHER DOMINATOR, which ever one had the finite 3 element items.

Well here I go my first venture into the world of GI Joe. I never collected as a kid and am just starting now. I bought the 25th Anniversary Cobra Commander escapes comic pack that also comes with Duke and have to say I feel like a kid again. From the free comic book to free mail-in Doc figure certificate everything about it just feels so... 80's

Try big bad toy store if you want to find the on-line or if you want to try to find them in a regular store toy r us, walmart, target all have them. Also hasbro toy shop is another place to look for them on-line. I hope that helps.

As long as were talking about playsets we wish they would make why not the U.S.S. Flagg wouldn't that be cool.

I'd love for them to make the U.S.S. Flagg again, as well as the Defiant Shuttle Complex. My two favorite vehicle/playsets that I never got to own from this line. Unfortunately I don't think they'd do them again due to how much it would cost in stores.
The G.I.Joe Headquarters would be another of the big playset I'd like to see again, but know they won't do again outside of store exclusives.

The only ones I could see them doing again that I want is the Mobile Commander Center, which they did about 5 years ago and originally in 1987. I've wanted ever since I saw images of it on YoJoe.com
Another is the Cobra Bunker Battle Station and other small playsets. Small playsets seem small enough from what i've seen to fall into the $10 range, and could be paired up with another playset or vehicle or somehow worked into battlepacks.

I don't think that would be a big deal since G.I. Joe 25th anniversary seems to be geared toward the collector and them seem to have enuff money to buy up entire waves as they come into the stores. I think it is more about the drop test among other things that would hold back production of something like the U.S.S. Flagg.

Would size play a factor at all with the U.S.S. Flagg or another large vehicle if they were to try to release them and what do you think the price point would be on the U.S.S. Flagg if they were to re-release it?

I finally found a Spirit Iron-Knife figure here. Is the gun he carries the Remington Marksman Refile mention in his profile? I don't really like this figure, but I also don't hate him either.

I don't see people picking up a 7 foot long vehicle very high and dropping it very far.

I am sure it is just the cost restictive-ness of it. The new Millenium Falcon is about 2.5 ft, and is MSRP'd at $150 ish when it is released.
