Yes actually. Possible not sealed boxes, but y'know how some G1's were sealed on a bubble inside the box? At least that. Expensive and crazy, I'm fully aware.-Kanrabat- wrote:So... I hate uncertainty, and reissues are an alternative. They're newer off the production line, and will last way longer than vintage figures in most cases. Plus, they're new and shiny. You don't have to like them, but you don't see the appeal in that?

Appart the toy itself, what I'm looking for is for it to be affordable. PRICE is an issue. That why most of my G1 toys ARE reissues. Still, some reissues are baffingly expensive while the original is readily available for less. In that case, I will go vintage. Why spend DOUBLE for a reissue when you can have the real original in perfect condition for half the price? Is that so hard to understand? Still, it's rare. More often, it's the reissue that is affordable and the vintage is just out of reach. Other times, a reissue sealed in box will be the same price as a complete but very used vintage. In that case, I get the reissue.
TlDr, the point is, it's not whennever it's a reissue or a vintage that matter. It's the quality and/or price of the toy that matter the most.

Re-issues, like the Encore 20/20A has improvements to the mold (and decals) while Bruticus and Piranacon on the otherhand sucked (the latter especially due to mold degradation). So shop wisely.

Yeah, I think the important thing is to look at feedback and reviews for reissues.
Not to mention, the entire Encore line! Those guys have actual tampo's on in place of some stickers. So sad that line is dead-Kanrabat- wrote:william-james88 wrote:Yeah, I think the important thing is to look at feedback and reviews for reissues.fenrir72 wrote:Vintage.....double edge sword. And sometimes the reissue ia WAY superior.
Like the black and white Astrotrain from Commemorative, or Predaking from Platinum with his glorious gold aps instead of plain yellows.

I don't remember where they were spotted first, but it was a while ago in an American Target or a TRU in the Philippines.welcometothedarksyde wrote:Does anyone know if the insecticons have been spotted? They have them in my Toysrus in Canada. Just a tip, if you're not finding large items like that, check the electronics section. Sometimes they put expensive collectables there.
