I hate uncertainty, and reissues are an alternative. They're newer off the production line, and will last way longer than vintage figures in most cases. Plus, they're new and shiny. You don't have to like them, but you don't see the appeal in that?
Appart the toy itself, what I'm looking for is for it to be affordable. PRICE is an issue. That why most of my G1 toys ARE reissues. Still, some reissues are baffingly expensive while the original is readily available for less. In that case, I will go vintage. Why spend DOUBLE for a reissue when you can have the real original in perfect condition for half the price? Is that so hard to understand? Still, it's rare. More often, it's the reissue that is affordable and the vintage is just out of reach. Other times, a reissue sealed in box will be the same price as a complete but very used vintage. In that case, I get the reissue.
TlDr, the point is, it's not whennever it's a reissue or a vintage that matter. It's the quality and/or price of the toy that matter the most.
