Sounds like she will go up for preorder tomorrow, this week has been expensive

Flamewar is up, and I have pre-ordered, but I only got one. I'll have to think about two at 41.99. I know they said 'paint apps', but we got Jackpot with a Battlemaster for 21.99 last year. 41.99?? Really?

Jackpot didn't come with their exclusive comic. The markup they place for that is insane. Same with all SG. We can't compare it to other releases.

Yeah, the price gave me pause as well, but the math sadly checks out if you look at what prices Pulse is running currently:
-Deluxes range anywhere from $23-25 on their own
-Markup for being an SG release/including the comic is typically $7 but ranges from $7-10
-Battlemasters were ranging from $5-7 back in Earthrise when they were last sold separately, but there have been price increases since then so they're presumably anywhere in the range of $7-9 now
$25+$7+$9=$41, and that's assuming they stick with 7 dollars for the comic.

Actually, having now looked at and done that math, Slicer's 2-pack basically includes the comic for free.

Yeah, the price isn't good, but I can see where it's coming from. Ended up buying two, one for SG one for G1. The rate this is going I might have to order some new label sheets.

Older molds, older price? $20 + $22 + $7 = $49. We can see the same thing with Ultra Magnus ($53 + $3 for extras + $7 = $63).

I dug up the awesome CW SG Starscream and it's too bad his canopy isn't blue like his current counterpart.
I might consider looking for a pair of blue blades to wield.

Does he now? I haven't seen it just yet I guess cause I have zero interests in this Magnus but I've enjoyed this reviewer. How does it differ from other reviews for the figure?

Well, I haven't seen any other reviews for Ultra Magnus SG, but he really likes the gloss paint they liberally used all over the figure. He claims it looks better in hand than in the photos we've seen. He paid the equivalent of 84 US dollars for it for a leader class (which is admittedly absurd), but he feels it was worth it.

After Amazon, Target and Walmart exclusives all coming at the same time I'm fine with Magnus waiting for the October release window.

After opening up and having a play with SG Ultra Magnus I remembered how crappy this mold is. The only redeeming thing this figure has to offer is the new head, honestly, the current design team are doing fantastic work with their head sculpts.

CW Ultra Magnus would have been a better mold choice but ... I guess they go with what's recent. Which is a shame, because CW UM is **** awesome.

Yeah, okay. I have both and I prefer the former. Not everything is everyone's cup of tea. CW UM, for me, is the little Minimus Ambus it comes with.

Yeah, I just got my credit card statement and I'll be getting my amazon card and red card statements soon, the Wreckers, Velocitron, and target stuff has really hurt. I would be fine if Magnus was delayed, especially since I got 2

As for which alt mode is worse, I guess that's a matter of opinion.

The toy has been shown to have the earth mode form since it was revealed 5 months ago. The comics last year were wrong.

I would argue the earth mode alt is worse. The Siege one was interesting and cohesive. The Kingdom one made the cab earth-y, but it does not flow and does not look cohesive. It is ugly to me, despite having the better head.

I agree that siege has the better looking alt mode and core bot. I prefer the upper torse area of the kingdom version though. But since I never got kingdom version, I'm glad my siege Magnus and delta/sg Magnus will be a little more distinct from one another
