I've done this in public at work, trust me when I say that while this feels good for a bit it rarely helps your long-term situation.

Starscream, Prime, and Jazz are supposed to have a Gen 1 skin, but the only one I've unlocked is Prime's robovision. All the skins are listed as Gen 1 in the game though, so go figure. I'm kinda pissed because they where saying before that more then Bumblebee would have upgrades to their alt modes, unless that is just the PSP version. Combat is kinda dumb though. You toss a car and then melee them. Shooting guns is useless against all but the very basic drones.

The PSP!? Those things are shite.

Hopefully there will be more G1 skins to unlock further on in the PC or 380 game as they are the only ones ill be looking to buy. Also a shame the combat is a bit of a let down.

I don't think they made a PC version. I have the 360's Cybertron Edition. It wasn't worth the extra money I payed for it, even with my employee discount. There's only five skins, and the cybertron levels suck. One skin is Robovision Prime. And Live isn't supported, so there will likely be no downloadable content.

According to Gamefaqs.com a PC version does exist. My PS2 version has "G1 Charectors" listed under the bonus features. It has 5 slots not 3 (so far only 3 codes have been found and varified). I'll have to beat the game or use the codes that have been floating around Gamefaqs to see what they do. I'm sure that eventually both Gameshark and Gamefaqs will have codes for the games. But the platform versions have only been out a day. :P

Elaborate on the G1 skins and why you put them in quotation marks. For example how the hell can Megatron be G1 when he turns into a jet? Are the alt modes still movie style? I'm guessing that the skins are just for the robot mode and aren't accurate to G1. Pity.

The one skin I unlocked was Robot Vision Prime, which is a movie toy. There's 5, apparently 2 primes, Megatron, Starscream, and Jazz. All are labeled as Gen 1, even the Robot Vision Prime. That's why I put the Gen 1 in quotes.

On the DS, Starscream's skin looks like the Gen 1 version, but I was looking at a small screenshot.

Yeah I have the strategy guide and it only shows the F-15. It says it's only available at Nintendo DS Download stations. Which I have no clue what that is. If it turns out the robot mode and the jet are G1 and there's a Download station in my area I'd run out and buy a DS and the Decepticon version of the game.

Perhaps the G1 skins are similar to the G1 repaints in the toyline?

Starscream and Jazz are both getting G1 repaints, and anyone who has seen robovision Prime up close can see he's supposed to look more G1esque in robot mode than standard movie Prime.
Check out my books, Titanomachies and Divine Retribution, on my blog!

DS download stations are at most game stores. My gamestop has one. Any Gamestop or EB Games near you should have one.

I can't say about the repaints, I was actually rather disgusted by the fact I beat the Autobot Campaign in 4 or so hours, and I haven't played it since it came out now. I read somewhere that Jazz was labeled Screamer Jazz or something like that, but I dunno. Apparently I bought the wrong version of the game though, as the DS versions actually have more stuff to do.

Sweet! The store I pre-ordered my PS2 version for was an EB games but is now a Gamestop. Apparently Gamestop bought out EB games last year. Next time I'm around there I'll see if they have a DS Download station. And if they do I'll probably buy a DS and the Con version of the game. Thanks alot for the information Dreadwind.

Not sure which bought which, but yeah, Gamestop and EB are the same store now. Confuses people sometimes, especially when there's still a EB and Gamestop in the same place.
