Galvatron Prime wrote:Sure this has been asked but when is the actual reset going to happen? I know that it has been said that the "upgrades" and changes are going to happen over time, I'm just curious as to where the reset falls into all this.

The exact date is uncertain, but IIRC, the full reset will occur when OS loads the "Battle for Cybertron" game mechanic, as that is sort of the core feature of v2.0.

Wrath wrote:Since the Battle for Cybertron consists of territories, how many will there be?

The planners have seen a map, but I don't know if I'm allowed to give the exact number. For now we'll just say 'more than ten'.

Will some of them be canon cities and lands from the series?

As far as I know, the plan has always been for all the locations to be canonical. They may not necessarily all be G1 however.

And will there be special texts declaring the winners? For example if there was one that involved Crystal City and the outcome with the Constructicons and Omega Supreme.

If you mean new mission texts: I don't know.

If you mean a text that declares the winner of the territory: then I will say that the "Battle for Cybertron" game mechanic does not work in such a way that a victory text would appear. If that's too vague, I'll give you a hint - think about the Autobot/Decepticon bar that appears at the top of HMW occasionally.

Also, something I've been wondering as of late is will the Quints be able to conquer and hold territories as well? If the combined forces of the bots and cons lose a certain amount of those special missions, could it actually be possible that we could be conquered?

you really want the Frogicon alt that bad?
Hell I made that one and even i think it's ugly

anyhoo, I doubt it as their Quints, not Bots, not cons, maybe some'll make it in as rares, or as a temporary tournie prize, the only sure fire way would be to choose it as a personal prize alt, but that means doing something pretty spectacular in a tournie and getting a personal prize alt.

Thanks.

On the tactics I'ved mentioned Muilti-repair, repairs more than one bot.

Another tactic could be Prime Target, Were all bots on one team in a mission hits the Primery target of one Bot. Prime Class Alt-Modes only.

When HMW II begins and we're all reset how much energon will we start with or aren't we? Assuming repairs are still free at lvl 0.

Imagine starting a new war hand to hand, how interesting the first few days would be :-?

Thought I'd ask so we know how much of a race to the "better" weapons we can expect. :P

€2,500

Damonicus wrote:Imagine starting a new war hand to hand, how interesting the first few days would be :-?

back in the days or yore, before brawling, before the accuracy myths were dispelled, it was commonly thought that Punches and Kicks where high accuracy attacks, so often level 0s where told to forgoe weaponry

Damonicus wrote:Thought I'd ask so we know how much of a race to the "better" weapons we can expect. :P

If i do my job right, there won't be any better weapons, just the right weapons wor the right bots in the right places.

General lurker type guy tossing a Q in. Did a search for the term Accuracy first, got a lack of results in anything. While it's been mentioned various places that certain weapons will have extra effects, will any be more accurate than others? I'm kind of hoping the Tiny Hand-Mounted lasers will have something going for em there.

Whatcha gonna do with that thing? Put my optics ouAIGHEN!

I don't believe that there will be anything different accuracy-wise, however the way that the special abilities work, unless something gets changed, is that when the special effect gets used, it will always hit its target

Thanks for the answer to the complete stranger. Heres hoping the general balancing will give it something... Well, as far as zero stat weapons can be useful while not taking away from the stat earned ones worth anyways.
Clearly, we need more lasers.

The more I read, the more I can't wait for the day. Glad to hear that the map will be all cannon locations (not that I doubted it would be), I just hope theres a nice bug number of them to fight over.

Oooh speaking of teritories, any hints you can give as to what percentage of the map will start in each factions control and will there be unclaimed/disputed/no mechs land territories at the start?

So will there be tactical advantages in the battlefield in the game itself? If a map is being used and topology is included, does that mean for example, that you can gain the high ground and use it to your advantage?

the map is on a global scale, not battlefield scale, there wil advantages to controling sectors on the global map

there is as yet no plans for enviromental effects in missions themselves yet.

Cool thanks for the information Tammuz. Do we know what kind of advantages to controling the sectors will be? Something like in Risk?

We do, but i'm not a liberty to say. and it'll vary from sector to sector, and will probably change between now and the release

Botmodes won't be classes, they're separate entities alltogether. We are aware that you want it in there so when OS creates the botmode table, we'll see if he gets added
