The new game will be balanced.

There will be no magical configurations like there is now. One weapon or stat or faction alone won't allow you dominate the game.

There will be unique things you can have and do in each faction so it will be advantageous to you if you really want to be in that faction and have the stuff within that faction.

Weapon: Corrosive Slime Shooter
If a faction grows to large compared to the others, will it be closed off to new members until the other faction(s) catch up to it's size? That was the problem with the bots a while back, to many people joined the game to be Autobots and out numbered the cons by 5 to 1 atleast on the lower levels.

i don't like this as it forces people to do something they don't really want to do, and is likely to discourage them playing, however making joining the underdogs more lucrative, would help those who aren't too fussed either way join the right side.

of course this should only be based on the level 0 stats, not the overall game.

I don't think that closing sides to newcomers would be a good idea, but closing side changes to the outnumbering side would be.

I will release a new set of help pages and tutorials (ones that are actually useful) before the game is released. You should have a decent idea of what is going on before you get to play.

i have 9 beast alts(monster,air animal,land animal) and 3 jets,so under the new system,what should i go CON or PRED,they are all CON canons, and i want there alt-modes,will the alt-modes be the same in con-pred or will i be SOL, on having the canon ALT-modes for them all?
EXP. Horri-Bull,there isn't a Bull alt yet, so he's a tank till i can get one.

There could Pre Beast Wars Beasties on the Bot/Cons team. Also some Beast-Modes did show up in the Cybertron series, but they didn't know about the Autobot Faction. They should be Max/Preds.

hmm... I have a spellchecker in firefox now... Cool.

Back to the topic! The problem with the beast modes is; where do you draw the line? Every beast mode, no matter the source be longs to the maximals and preds? Seems kinda fair since there shouldn't be a whole lot of vehicals in the maximals and preds.

OT again... A spellchecker that doesn't tell you how to properly spell the word doesn't really do anything but annoy you.

The problem with this idea is that it seems that the Maximals and Predacons, despite their names, generally did not have beast modes until the events of the Beast Wars series. Remember that many of the characters renamed themselves in the first episode to better fit their new alt modes. Both depictions we've seen of the factions off Earth (IDW's comic and the Botcon set) they have had vehicle modes. And then you have the issue of the Dinobots, Predacons (G1), Terrorcons, Insecticons and some of the Pretenders, who all belong to G1 factions but have Beast modes. So while it sounds like a good idea, it isn't an ideal solution if you're going for accuracy.

I agree with you on that. The Max/Preds should have Alt-Modes based on Beast Wars to now. Just a few vehicles type Alt-Modes? Theres already Fuzors and TransMetals and the Vehicons.

How about letting the Preds/Maximals have access to the late-G1/G2 alt. modes, since those are the closest alts we know the pre-Beasts could have? :-?

I'm surprised I haven't seen this mentioned yet. With the reboot, will the Rank, Intelligence and Skill stats finally be getting their full benefits (e.g. smart target selection for Intelligence and group tactics for Rank)? It seems these have been italicised on the upgrade for as long as I can remember, and it'd be nice to finally be able to play characterfully.
