Weaving seems like a good choice, but I'll withold full judgment until I hear his first voice clip. He's got the talent, but it'll come down to how good the voice direction is.

He'll do a good job, but I thinks its a given we were all hoping for Welker

Well, I'm glad people translated that email because it made zero sense to me. If they hadn't had Cullen as Prime, I wouldn't caree about who played Mags. I just wanted the double act back together. On saying that, I also think hearing Weaving's measured tones comming from the twisted wreck that is Movie Megs will be interesting. I still believe he would be best doing Shockwave in a sequal, but I'm happy they got someone like Weaving who has talent instead of some big name who couldn't do it.

As of today, Agent H. Weaving has officially convinced S.S., M.B., R.O., AND A.K. to assign him to oversee the Megaman issue.

Are we talking about Megsy or the Blue Bomber?

Anyway, I don't care who voices him as long as he does a good job.

Since this isnt the real Megatron (its his brother) i dont care. Oh and also GOD DAMN! So theres still only one TF voice actor on the movie. I knew from the start they were going to focus on prime more than any other TF. And buy more im mean only Prime. Granted Weaving is a good actor( V for Vendetta kicked ass) but do you really want to think of the Matrix when you see this movie? And why do i have the fealing that all Welker will do on this movie is do the sound effects and some backgroung TFs on Cybertron. Thank god for movie passes.

I actually think he will do a good job. hell, if Vin Diesel did a good job as the Iron Giant, then i'm Sure Hugo Weaving will do a great job.

but if it were up to me, i would have chosen Christopher Lee to do megatron....he would have been perfect....absolutley perfect, but Hugo weaving is acceptable too

Now this movie sucks. (As if it didn't before.)

Man, that just ruined my day. I mean, Hugo's cool & all, but this really is a letdown. I was really hoping one of the best voice actors ever (his resume alone would confirm this) would have been more heavily considered even without the fandom having to back him up. Speaking of which, what happened to "we're listening to the fans" ? ......perhaps it's more like "we're listening to our fans"?

....eh, whatever. But they sure as hell better have Welker play Soundwave in the sequel......

yeah, there definitely would be a lot less flame wars if more people took the "wait and see" attitude.

Now, no disrespect but here is a reality check, not everyone is going to think in that wait and see mindset, you will always have the highly opinionated OMFGTHEYCHANGEDMEGATRON.. THEYANDANYONEWHOLIKESITISSTOOPID" Attitude.. And that is life.
It is present in every fandom.
It is present in real life situations.
The rest of the fandom is not Tequila Stu clones, they are their own thinking individuals.
They will think and act in whatever way that they wish.
Deal with it as it is a part of life.

And again, I do wish that more people took the "wait and see" attitude.

I'm slightly disappointed that Welker didn't get it, obviously. But I'm very happy that we get Weaving. He is gonna be great!

I am the same way. I will make my judgment when I see the movie.

I still want Welker or Kaye to voice Megs, but Hugo Weaving KICKS MAJOR ASS. His performance in V for Vendetta was great, I think whatever he gets in the movie, he can do it.

I'm OK with it. I was hoping really hard for Welker or at least Leonard Nimoy. Hugo is still awesome if that's the way they wanna go.

i don't think they could've made a worse "megatron" even if they tried so who cares who voices that piece of crap.
