I agree, though it does better color match the shuttle for base mode, which is the main mode they were aiming for

It's colored like the Micromaster Rocket Base that the original Galaxy Shuttle toy was designed to work with.

With this toy's launchpad colored like it, one can now add it (and, by extension, Galaxy Shuttle himself) to the composite modern-day Rocket Base one can create by combining Earthrise Commander class Sky Lynx's base mode with the Galactic Odyssey Collection Botropolis Rescue Mission set of Ironworks and Overair. Adding in the Micromaster Countdown that came packed in with Siege Titan class Omega Supreme completes the package even further.

Right. I meant to say tender. Granted I'm not a train enthusiast so my mistake wasn't glaring to me. And i figured that's why the tender had those colors, but I knew very little of Galaxy Shuttle as well. It would still look good color-matched with the train mode, though.

You're not alone in that department. Pretty much everybody knows very little about Galaxy Shuttle because there is very little to know about him. He was barely a character in Victory, treated more like a glorified space bus merely used for transport. The biggest appeal he had was the fact that he was huge and looked really cool. But otherwise, he was pretty much a non-entity.

It's really cool how Galaxy Shuttle goes from a fully black train to a mostly white shuttle. It adds an extra layer to the triple changing gimmick.

And the headsculpt is really good

No doubt an attempt to give people a version of this mold colored like the black and white Takara release of the original Astrotrain, while also serving as a different character instead of just Astrotrain again.

I was thinking that too, but kind of dismissed it as half coincidence half lazy attempt. Maybe it wasn't.

They couldn't fix the front of the train that is a tiny "nose" that just float there. It looks daff and silly, like the broken back of the shuttle. But if I headcanon that neither Astrotrain nor Galaxy Shuttle could figure out how to properly imitate Earth vehicles then it makes me quite forgiving.

10 days after he was supossed to arrive, Walmart has decided to ship my Galaxy Shuttle pre-order. That I guess is better than some of the Netflix exclusives that shipped MONTHS after they were supposed to arrive?...(or get cancelled altogether)

Anyway, I found it a bit amusing it is shipping from BC Canada. I guess they really cant get them down here for some reason.... :???:

Canada has lots of Galaxy Shuttle. But, interestingly enough, even at $76 CAD, all the ones in my area sold out.

I would have thought maybe, just maybe this would be the start of perhaps WM way to fix some of the distribution issues (when Canada gets too much of something, and U.S. doesn't get enough), but if GS sold really well in Canada, that cant be the case.

I just wonder why WM would go the extra expense to ship across a border, when it would be much easier to receive the shipment domestically and issue from a U.S. distribution center? I mean I'm glad its on the way.

As for Velocitron overall. Cosmos (as we all know) is near impossible to find at 1 per case. Clampdown is very hard to find, but I saw a couple early on, and its (surprisingly) still available on Pulse. Black Convoy I did see a few times and is selling well. The rest ( the remaining 3 deluxes and BOTH voyagers) I can find readily stocked a most Walmart's.

Haven't seen any wave 2 yet, and I dont expect to any time soon.

Today I saw a Clampdown at Walmart for the first time in a long time... which I guess means there was probably also a Cosmos there first thing this morning that I missed out on.

Not surprising at all. Those are a hot exclusive at NORMAL leader price. No TrU boost here. So of course they sold out.

I was lucky to have found one, buried under a pile of random things in a cart, waiting to be put on the shelves.

I've started to see Shadowstrip and Crasher show up in multiple stores in Central CT. No sign of Galaxy Shuttle yet. The rest of the line has been well-stocked since October (besides Cosmos, of course, who my brother found once ever back in September). Even Scourge and Override went from being rarities to regular sightings. I'm hoping this will be true for Shuttle eventually.

So my local Walmart put Scourge, Override and Hauler on clearance, preparing for Galaxy Shuttle and Hot Rod I'm guessing. Deluxes are still full price.
