yeah... but hex is shorter thsn MP10 anyways. so he's likely to be dwarfed by MP magnus anyways. hex isnt MP scale to begin with.

Right you are. But I do have Hexatron standing in with my other MPs and he looks good there. Hexatron vs City Commander in a Classics display just looks funky (aesthetically). I like the way KFC's UM is looking and thought they would fit well together, but not with the size difference the way it is. *sighs*

I like the,sculpt,13 inch size & I pre-ordered it already.

I see no problem with the 13 inch size. As it's 1980's TF toy accurate. 1984 Optimus was a deluxe sized toy in robot cab mode.1986 Ultra Magnus's combined toy was around 10 inches tall. So having this be bigger than MP-10 makes sense.

For those who own MP-01 & MP-05,This KCF Ultra Magnus scales perfectly with those toys.

The HasTak MP-10 is 9.5 inches tall. I'm willing to wager,That the HasTak Upcoming 2015 MP Ultra Magnus combined form will be at least 12 inches tall. The added boots, chest pieces & head, are bound to add 2-3 inches at minimal.

Love to see KFC do the Takara Diaclone Powered Convoy recolor using this mold. I'm sure HasTak plans to do a Powered Convoy recolor using the MP-22 mold.

Probably not the case here, but sometimes folks leave Easter eggs around. Think FansProject.

Here, I think we've got Orion Pax and a baggie full of blue parts (probably UM pieces).

The key word in "toy accurate" is "toy". Toy accuracy just represents the cold reality of 1980's budget and technology constraints. Most hardcore TF fans are too deep into the cartoon/comic fiction to appreciate the bizarre scales that were marketed to 1980's kids. They made no sense back then and they still don't today.

Be it classics or MP scale, this is what today's collectors want to see on their shelf...

X,besides you,I don't know anyone else who gets this overly bent out of shape with his Transformers toy scales.

MP-01 is 12 inches,so he'll scale nicely next to KCF UM.

MP-22 is going to be over 12-13 inches once he wears all that armor. That armor is bound to add at minimal 2-3 inches to that MP-10 9.5 inch robot mode.

It is a shame that no one, except KFC it seems, is working with the scale that was initially set out with Mp-01. >:oP

HasTak still is with their MP-22 UM That will be 12-13 inches tall after that armor gets put on that MP-10 mold.

Ok That makes sense now , thanks clearing that up :D .

Maybe they should have ditched KFC and put more money and effort into UT & XT who are getting on the right track lately , then KFC wouldn't have to use the plastic scraps they have left over ;)

Initially,I was looking forward to this being leader scale. It would have scaled nicely next to MP-10,MP-09,MP-08,MP-Seekers,MP-13,Hexatron,Quakewave. Leader scale toys from AEC,TFA,TFP-BH,Movie-verse. Rid 2001 Super size Ultra Magnus & Optimus.

I haven't a clue why KFC thought buyers would want this at the 13 inch size instead of the Leader Scale. Did KFC draw inspiration from Kronos being increased in Scale?

I don't think it's a total write off. I still love the Sculpt & Transformation. That's why I'm willing to buy one & give it as test try. If it's not good,Then I can always sell it on ebay.

I'm still holding out hope that the 13 inch size. Is one big Aprils fools day joke. Perhaps later in the day,KFC will reveal it's really 9.5 inches tall.

I no longer own the 1986 Ultra Magnus toy. I forgot how tall it was. I'm remembering maybe around 9 inches tall

Please can someone take a few pics of 1986 Ultra Magnus next to MP-10 & MP-09.

Is their any way fans can contact KFC & ask them to create a 2nd batch that has a robot mode that is 9.5 inches tall. I went on all the other forums yesterday & mostly everyones hates the 13 inch height.

It's a shame KFC jumped the gun & rushed this 13 inch version to production. They should hve waited a bit to see fans reactions to this increased scale. If they waited,They could have seen all the hate & returned it back to it's original 9-9.5 inch height.

Will this 13 inch version sell enough to not bankrupt KFC? Who knows,Will KFC listen to fans & create a 2nd batch that is smaller?

Um....changing/creating molds is not cheap. Do you realize what you are asking of KFC? I agree that they should have maybe had some prototype shots to show us to see what the reaction was, but asking them to change now would be incredibly expensive. I'm thinking they are locked in while trying to beat Takara to production.

(I used to be involved with plastic molding, and while the creation of molds in different sizes is much cheaper than when I last worked with the process (thank you computers and robots!) it is still very expensive.)
