Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Original mold issues? Does MP-10 really have so many issues?
Where the issues only on the first Takara mold or with the retail Hasbro/TrU releases also?

It's FunPub. It's their specialty.

Still, I feel like a KO of this particular MP is a waste of time and effort over more recent desirables like one certain casseticon. Plus like any rendition of the old g1 leader he'll probably get re-issued over and over again anyway.

A lot of these were issues with the TRU version - the screws behind the chest windows scratching the chrome matrix cover, legs not tabbing together all the way, and loose fuel tanks (in addition to things that occur on both versions, like the finger falling off, or the hole in his crotch).Shadowstream wrote:I'm still not convinced MP-10 was worth the asking price, even after I got the clerk to bring it down by scanning the shipping box, but I begrudgingly accept that it's not a horrible rendition of the big OP to own, at least compared to that oversized stack of bricks the previous MP Prime was. I don't think we need this KO, but you're really coming down hard on MP-10 for no particular reason. If you're all debbie downer on MP-10, don't buy MP-10. Sheesh.

I, and many others I imagine, are just detail oriented. The hole in the crotch doesn't really bother me, but I can't say I don't notice it.Shadowstream wrote:megatronus wrote:Shadowstream wrote:Supposed improvements...

But I have the TRU version, and as I mentioned I haven't really had most of the problems listed, and again... you have some strange habits if noticing a hole behind his crotch plate bothers you.
The Takara version is overpriced, certainly - especially the reissue. But, I do like the colors a whole lot better (except for the eyes, but I'll be swapping those with the YOTH version I get). The TRU version, even at $120, was a bit high but not awful. I was more offended at TRU's shameless price hike than the final price.Shadowstream wrote:megatronus wrote:I don't think we need this KO, but you're really coming down hard on MP-10 for no particular reason. Debbie downer? That phrase sounds older than my grandma...
Also, I feel I'm quite fair on MP-10 given that I did buy it and I do like it, I just think it's a bit overpriced for what you get. I do admit I hold something of a double standard though, as I thought it was the best looking MP back when it was released and I was dubious of the price even then, but now I have MP Soundwave and I think he was well worth the price even though he's a lot simpler.

zodconvoy wrote:Anyone saying we don't need a KO of MP-10 clearly doesn't have to face paying the current prices. I wasn't one of the six people who found it in TRU so my only option has been in the $300+ range. I do have MP-10B Nemesis Prime and the chest is uneven and while the KO may have a gap at the top, at least it's symmetrical. And the "wiper" problem is probably about the side mirrors, not the actual wipers.
Now who do I throw my money at to get one of these?

Yawn...for a second I thought the pope was delivering a speech about world peace. You want to know what makes KOs so awesome ? Ill tell you brother...its the thrill of getting the same thing at half the price and having some extra cash in your pocket. The other day I had to replace a bad headlight bulb in my truck. Do you think I went to the dealer and paid around $100 for them to replace it with an official chevy bulb installed by an official licensed chevy technician ? HELL NO !!! I went to the nearest Advance Auto Parts and bought a KO bulb for 15 bucks and installed it myself. Granted, im no mechanic, but with the money I saved I could probally buy an MP-10. I actually had the official one in my hands at TRU (they had 5 of them) but Im not into MP scale so I didnt need it for what hasbro says its worth. But at $75-80 bucks with a trailer, I might be a buyer just to throw it on the coffee table for beer nights.Yotsuyasan wrote:zodconvoy wrote:Anyone saying we don't need a KO of MP-10 clearly doesn't have to face paying the current prices. I really hate beating a dead horse, and I'm also not looking to pick an argument, so I shall say my piece and be done with it... but I have to take issue with your choice of words.zodconvoy wrote:Anyone saying we don't need a KO of MP-10 clearly doesn't have to face paying the current prices.
Why do you need a KO of MP-10 exactly? Is someone holding your family hostage, threatening to kill them unless you deliver an MP-10 and within a certain budget? Or perhaps you have discovered a way to cure a deadly disease or feed the hungry with an MP-10? I'm at a loss to know why your absolute need of it is so great, that you must have one even if you have to resort to paying for stolen goods? (Okay, they didn't steal the physical toys, but it is an IP theft.)
Or is it just that you want one, didn't have the good fortune to find one when it was available for sale (I never saw one in person either, but had no trouble finding one at TRU.com when they were for sale), and can't be bothered to pay the after market prices for them?
Well, sucks to be you. And if you want to resort to the less then kosher route of getting a knocked off product, don't say things such as, "I need it!" or "I deserve it!" Because it isn't true. Owning a toy or collectable is not an entitlement. You aren't owed anything by Hasbro. Your life is not dependent on it, and you will survive just fine if you never have it. If you missed it while it was in retail, or if you couldn't afford it, yeah, that sucks. But the world will not come crashing to an end because you didn't get that one toy.
And if some unscrupulous thieves knock off the product yoou want, and you decide to buy that, that's your business. But be honest. Just say, "I want this, so I'm gonna buy it." Do not say, "I need this." Because no, you don't.

All I know is the official part exists for alot more and I saved plenty of money with the KO. Another great example of bucking the system is refilling printer cartridges. HP hates that ****. But who cares ? I dont own stock in HP, Chevy, or Hasbro. Im not the most ethical person in the world. But when did David ever care about Goliaths best interests ?

HP might hate it, but that doesn't change it's legality. I also don't get what a man fighting to save his people has to do with you saving money, his purpose was selfless while yours is selfish.
