Have a look at the missions you join, keep to the 0-1 missions if you are on a losing streak, and keep your rammers in battles with the smallest amount of fighters possble (up to 4v4 is recomemded.)
Also, be sure to keep an eye on your energon levels; they will dip to begin with as you now have CR costs etc to cover but as they start to level out, and even make a profit, then you can begin to bring more of the team up to the next level.
Getting a foothold in level 1 will take a while, be prepared for that, but its a good feeling when you dominate your first level 1 misison!
Good luck in level 1 WarHorse, its hard work, but the game should really begin for you now. Hope this helps...

The biggest problem to upgrading to level 1 is the CR costs, you really need a stack load of energon to get you settled in (minimum 30k) and you really don't gain nearly as much energon as you were as level 0. when you hit the 50xp area start holding your own much better in Lvl 1 missions (but the 1-10 missions are suicide!)
An energon crossbow is only worth is if you can afford the 4 upgrades to get it and the 55k energon. Even then I'd only equip a strafer with one...

The rammers thing is spot on. the less players the better.
Any avoiders tend to do best on plain lvl 1 missions, any amount of players but they dodn't tend to avoid the higher bots attacks.
If you can afford to send "Suicide Strafers" (high strafe, firepower and courage) into lvl 1-10 or lvl 1-3 missions they'll occasionally score big on XP but generally cost more in CR than they gain as they never seem to come back alive.
Repairbots - don't tend work well at low levels - if anyone has a good setup for a 60k xp build type then please let me know as I'm going to start playing with such a setup.

I ripped right up the ranks in level 0 and I even waited and accumulated some extra xp so I could break into Level 1 with a couple extra tech points. The thing is, my bots aren't really bringing home the bacon. Oh well I guess I'll just keep plugging along. I can't wait till the other shoe drops and I can start kicking some tail again.
Can I see your configs? I don't think I've really had this problem with lvl 1. Then again, from what I've been doing on lvl 1, BBs seem to be most damaging while spd/avd tend to collect the most energon.
Anyhow, in need of advice for this lvl 2. Name: Wind Convoy
Current stats:
3 str
6 spd
4 cour
2 fp (Dol)
5 avd
I want to make him into a rammer and equip him with BBs at some point, but am in no hurry to do so. What should I upgrade next? Once again, thanks for the tips.

Are there any differences between jets and helicopter alt modes? and if there is which one would you all suggest?
Is there a place to look at what alt modes have what skills?

No difference between them at level 0, both can avoid on the cheap which is vital at the beginning as the 50xp per avoid is gold, but in my opinion the Sikorsky UH-60 Helicopter alt rocks more than any of the jets.
Sil, Strength and Armour would probably work best.

60K repairer? i'm almost certain it can't be done, or rather that you're not going to make reapirs greater than non tactic damage. you can't get to level 2,with just 60K so your gonna be level 1, the majority of level 1s will have no endurance or very low endurance, from prievious experiments i can tell you 10 intell fed repairs will max out at 30% on 0 endurance bots, but you won't have 10 intell at most you could have 6, and that wouldn't leave any xp left over for any other stats and will give you about the same damage output as a 1 str punch..... or a weapon capable of heavy damage.

I was thinkig about putting it into to skill which would give me
1 str
1 frp
1 skill
And then buying the CO2 Sawed off shotgun.
I've also thought about saving a little more and then putting one in str and frp giving me 2 in each. Then saving up to buy the double barreled plasma shotty.
any suggestions, or aleternate designs?

needs updating, though DSA has a more complete version as it required more frequent updating due to the project finding some very active researchers there
Cheers Tammuz - I half suspected as much but my avoider-repairer had been earning more xp repairing (on 1 int 1 repair) than attacking so I thought it might be worth a try.
well i spose if you're avoider/repairer was setup to use only avoid and reapir and had simply 0 str unarmed as his only other moves then yes repair would be better, but it would be better to get 1 strength and be a brawling avoider than a repairer of any means...

Dont worry about tactics until they become considerably cheaper than your stats.

I can only talk about 0-1, but at 0, I doubt either of these weapons would beat a config like 2 str +PPFs and at one, both weapons are good given the speed and avoid to back it up.
