Even though he's exactly the white cab Magnus you want (minus the stickers)?REMINATOR wrote:So, it's Total Commander Convoy eh? Those bastards TTomy are still in denial to give me a proper MP 10 white Magnus after all these years. The ingredient to slap Prime name and it will sell well may work to the general public, well I ain't one of those folks. I maybe a sucker to a white Magnus or UMagnus figure, but for an official product, if his name isn't label as Ultra Magnus, he will not be welcome into my Magnus/UM collection. With that being said, a big pass to 711 Total Commander Convoy from me. Although I don't support KO TF, in this case I'm glad KO MP10U exists.
I can get behind being a strict type of collector, but as Kurona said:REMINATOR wrote:You will understand the concept if you only collect by character like me. So I'm more strict compared to normal collectors since I just don't base on mold/colors alone. To me, this Total Commander Convoy/ Supreme Commander is referring to OPrime, not the UM character.
To each his own though, I can respect thatKurona wrote:Teeechnically. But if it looks like a duck, if it sounds like a duck, if it acts like a duck...

So you're not into it, thats clear. But I'll say for the 3rd time, the KO MP-10 is NOT a high quality figure.primalxconvoy wrote:Even though I live in Japan and my friend runs a local 7-11, I am STILL not getting this. Just like the recent Pioneer earphones, Takara is smoking crack if it thinks it can charge the price for either of these releases. The KO version is BOUND to come out later on and will be a fraction of the cost and the same, if not better quality.
I know nothing of the MPP10's, as I don't own any or done any research. But I do have one KO MP-10 (the White Magnus) and it's awful. And If you watch the video you posted, at 5:15 he starts talking for a couple minutes about how it looks good, but feels dodgy. He also stands it next to his Hasbro MP-10 saying it's much more solid in comparison, but his (official) MP-10SG is actually worst of the three. My MP-10SG is fine though, and I haven't heard anything negative about the QC on that version elsewhere.primalxconvoy wrote:I haven't had one myself, but from the quality of the Wei Jiang KOs I've had, and from reviews at places like Ben's Collectibles on YouTube, I think they're a good chance of a high, if not higher than official quality set. I'm actually into this official set, due to my high shopping rate at 7-11 Japan. The price is disgusting though, IMO, hence the desire for a more affordable KO.
However, even if the quality is a bit off, it's no problem for me, as I've got the original, G1 official version.
Anyway, here's a review of one such KO to help give a better picture of KO quality. I can't remember how it fared so it's here for either side of the argument.

primalxconvoy wrote:7-11 exclusives aren't usually so expensive. The Gundams, for example, are not and neither were the Disney Label TFs. This new TF, though, is not, to my knowledge, sold in brick and mortar shops, but only online. The expensive BAPE tfs may have been expensive due to the brand's upmarket expensive image. However, 7-11 isn't an expensive brand. This is why I believe it's too expensive. That's why I'm going to get the KO.
