That's excellent news.
I have one more question, which OS may be able to answer, or someone else may have the answer.
Does anyone have the link to the page with all the alt mode icons on? (not the list in the Help section, which is missing the new ones made available after christmas, I mean the page with all the icons including the new ones).

Whoa, thanks a lot, OS... and trust me, my aggressiveness wasn't directed at you, but rather on those who whined.
BTW, can there be made an option of posting polls in this forum (I know I shouldn't ask you - but you're closer to the site mechanics then me, of that I'm sure)? Thus you could really ask the majority of players - not just the active-posting ones - about major questions... Such as what is more important - weapon balancing, alt rotator or stats reset (w/o altmode reset).
But thanks for the great work... And thanks thrice for timely responces!!!!!

Eventually, depending on the rarity of the alt and the frequency of the rotation. But it will be an improvement on how things stand now.

There was something in the works when Glyph was programmer (probably for V2) in which we'd be able to lower our stats without having to completely reset our configurations; it would have cost energon to do so, but it would alleviated the annoyance of compelete re-working our stats and losing our alts in a complete reset. Don't know if this is still in the works now that OS has taken over.

All I'll say is that there was alot less "in the works" than people think. That is why I am in need of some patience from the HMW community while this game starts moving forward.Thunderscream wrote:There was something in the works when Glyph was programmer (probably for V2) in which we'd be able to lower our stats without having to completely reset our configurations; it would have cost energon to do so, but it would alleviated the annoyance of compelete re-working our stats and losing our alts in a complete reset. Any you will definitely get that OS. You appear to have a definitely want to really make this game better and better, and we can do nothing but really appreciate that fact.
I was definitely curious about possible weapons changes, but you are probably right, a major change like that would go over better with a mass restart than forcing everyone to watch their bots crash and burn and not know why (exactly).

I know Glyph said that giving each of Silverbolts characters a half billion exp increase was in the works.
The thing mentioned above though would be extremely helpful, especially if you didn't lose the armor by knocking down a non-rank or strength stat.
Another thing that I don't really like is that you have to uninstall armor and then install the next type when you increase rank, but if you reset you can avoid all that.
Seems like this game is geared towards getting people to release alts that they rather not release.

Not directed towards you, but rather the masses:
We just got a new programmer who's willing to invest his free, volunteer time to upgrade this game (aka: make it better). For many years, we've griped about not having change fast enough, & now that the rumors of change are swirling about, some of us appear to prefer the "old" ways. So I ask one question: just as there are "no free lunches in life" nor "can we have the cake & eat it too," just what exactly do we want done with the game? Keep it as is so those who complain about overpowered BB & Dols can vent? So we can keep our coveted alt modes--regardless of how rare they are?
Let's not add another programmer to the list of retirees, and I'm not insinuating he's considering it. Let's just be grateful for his willingness to help it along. Trust me, I know this guy, & he's a stand-up guy who can get much accomplished if we wish. But let's not stand in his way...
This message has been paid for by the slaughter of many cons...namely Edge, Trax, Redimus, & Dynamax.

I have to say that having OS come in here and say that the alt rotater might be ready by the end of next week is AMAZING! That is precisely the level of dedication and sheer speed, damn it, that we've been missing.
Thanks a million, OS! As far as I'm concerned the amount of work you're managing to do is fantastic. I mean it's great to be able to say that, even if we're not implementing the weapons now, they are waiting in the wings. Perhaps V2 isn't such a pipe dream after all?
Though I by no means wish to rush you!

You just about summed it up. OS has restocked some weapons
giving new players a shot at x-rays, and others finding it hard to get DOL's and what not have been given a hand too.
Also our performance summaries are back. That helps me gauge
if my stats are set up right. Now the Rotator will be implemented as was supposed to be months ago giving extra depth the the game.
One step at a time as I'm sure it is time consuming to write all the code to implement the new weapons system, and I would rather have that work right and wait a little while
than have it halfa$$ed and crash the game.

Oh how I am enjoying this. Well I would if I were not dissapointed about not having the weapons fixed.
Instead of fixing one of the major problems with the game you run screaming in panic over your altmodes.
Instead of improving the functionality of the game, you want OS to fix the cosmetics.
Lets put racing stripes on our rusted out '76 Honda Civic and duct tape the holes!
The Power of the 5% was used for evil... and not for Good of All.
That would be MY fault, Lucky. I'm the one that "bxtched," "whined," "cried" and any other form of complaining about losing my precious alternate modes. Forgive me. I take the full responsibility for that debacle. Especially for riling up the masses and bickering with everyone about it.
The truth is that no one would have truly been happy with any way that this was accomplished. There would have been another "QuietStorm" out there that was upset about something--be it the alts, the armor, the XP, the Energon, the whatever. Unfortunately, this time it was me.
Pardon me for misusing your "Ultimate Nullifier" -- The Mighty 5%!

Personally, and some of you may take offence to this, I think that the general way in which these matters are debated on the forum is often needlessly antagonistic.
It is perfectly acceptable for members, such as Quietstorm, to have concerns over the reset of weapons. Whilst it is undeniably true that you cannot please all of the people all of the time, nevertheless the effort should still be made. It is not enough to denounce people's concerns as "whining", "b***hing" etc and then proceed to make fun off them. If you think people are being backward, discuss the problem with them amicably in an atmosphere of trust. The last few days have felt to me (and I admit it may just be my interpretation of comments made) a wee bit heated.
In fact, I personally think that a lot of the problems raised about a weapons reset now could be solved. But they can only be solved through discussion, not argument. No one is saying that they don't want the game to move forward, they are just debating how that progress should be implemented. Many feel that haste is not a good thing. Who knows, maybe they're right?
Sorry for gassing on, but I've felt like writing that for a day or two now. Anyway, rant over.

That is exactly correct.
I took Quietstorm's concerns to heart along with MOST of the players I talked to.
There were ALOT of players concerned about this or that. It wasn't just Quietstorm.

I agree that discussion is important to moving forward. And while my original post was intended to be directed at Lucky, it's also directed to the rest of H-M-Dub Fandom Forum. I apologize, my actions went from concerned/upset to flat out rude. And I'm certain that how I handled the situation did not win me any new friends or fans. And that's why I apologized.
Thunderscream wrote:I'm fairly certain that you weren't the only one, QS.
As am I, but the bottom line is that I was the loudest and in the end most inappropriate of the voices. Which didn't help the cause.
Now before it appears that I'm derailing this thread, let's get it back on track, shall we? My intentions were never to return to the previously posted problems--only to address one of my friend's concerns on the forum (replying to Lucky).

Remember when the Energon Crossbow was the most sought after weapon of the game? I miss those days. So, once the Alt Rotator is completed, the Weapons Stock will be "reset" or is it that things will be tweaked, then sold back/returned to the "Merchant" for same price as originally paid, and the new versions of said weapons will be featured correctly?
So "moderate to heavy damage" will actually mean "moderate to heavy damage"? That's what I'm understanding, right?

Know the fun thing about the EC change?
It wasn't done retroactively which meant there were a bunch of old style EC crossbows still running around. I still have one, but it pales in comparrison to the other weapons out there now.
