One thing I will say against this movie is that Prime's death just kind of happened. Even though it was mentioned sporadically throughout the film, it had absolutely no gravitas or emotional impact. This is one area where a low-budget, low-profile 1986 animated film commisioned solely to sell toys beat a $200million live-action blockbuster for sure.

I can't speak for others but while it is certainly not that great of a movie, I definitely didn't force myself to like it. I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw.
