In my honest opinion it was a stupid choice to make him turn into a regular Countach instead of the Diaclone modified space Countach. The bot mode is nice, but the cartoon depicted Sideswipe and Sunstreaker as has having different car modes too so this is lame. It's not cartoon accurate or toy accurate in car mode. So what's the point ? Once again it's a good day not to be an MP collector.

What are you referring to? Are there images of this thing in car mode somewhere?

Anyway, I don't think the bot mode looks that great. I mean it's decent I guess, but for some reason it doesn't strike me as being all that screen accurate (though perhaps I'm wrong). I still expect Takara to make a go of it eventually so I'll probably wait for that to happen.

TFW, Has just updated their new site with the added car mode pic.

The 3P company creating this is asking for some feedback from buyers. Omnigonix says he might have plans to release alternative heads or faces.

According to Daimchoc over at TFW, The toy in almost the final stage. only minor tweaks will get done at this point.

My feedback suggestions would be similar to what some TFW members want. I'd also like a better face sculpt with wider,longer,bigger eyes and mouth. I loved that Alternators Sunstreaker head sculpt, So if Omnigonix can replicate that then i'll be more happy. Fix the nose it needs to be more blocky and less human shaped.

More feedback would be asking for translucent car windows. Just not a fan of painted car windows. Think since this is at the MP Level it needs translucent windows.

Hoping and guessing that left forearm comes with a switched out fist with fingers on it.

I like it. That car mode is pretty fancy aswell. Looking forward to colour pics. I'm liking the detail in bot mode legs. I'm not liking that head too much though. It needs to be tweeked.

EDIT: Actually upon further inspection those upper legs are a bit thick. The whole figure is a bit squat and stocky looking. I'd like a more lithe looking Sunstreaker to be honest. I don't really picture him looking quite like what Omnigonix has done here in my mind.

But i do stick to my first observation that the car mode looks sweet.

I like it. Digging the feet, front and back. Also the back shoulder area is unique and pretty cool. I don't see Takara doing Sunstreaker so if the price if 100$ or so I'm down.

The intakes and fin look wrong to me.

Too small perhaps?

In any event, I fully expect Takara to come out with this character, so this is probably not a necessary figure to pick up.

I wonder if Lamborghini will be ok with Takara modifying their property so much to pull off a more accurate version of this guy...assuming the quality of this product is good, I would be more than satisfied if Tak didn't make one and got to some of the other cast instead.

This seems to be the same situation as Quakewave for me.

The figure looks decent, but I'm willing to wait for an official Takara release.

I bought Quakewave because :
A) it is excellent
B) I actually doubt we will see an official release because the licensing with Shockwave's toy.

Same here. Initially I wasn't sold on Quakewave, but after analyzing the situation further regarding the licensing situation I came to the same conclusion and pulled the trigger on Quakewave just before ToyArena (the last online retailer to have any instock) ran out. Looking at his prices on the aftermarket now, I'm glad I did.

I like what I'm seeing. To fix certain perceptions of the robot looking "fat", I think the waist/hips need to be a little more constricted and would match MP Sideswipe and Prowl. But that wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. Interested in how this goes along.

I'm not saying Quakewave isn't excellent, or that the licensing situation isn't troublesome. Just don't feel like investing in a 3rd Party figure when an official one might be in the pipes.

Whether or not it's actually in the pipes is another story. But I'm confident that if the answer is "no" and we get official word or confirmation of this, FT will do another run of Quakewave. They'd be printing money with him at this point.

Has Takara ever ruled out any figure? Serious question, I have not heard of that happening before...would imagine that logic could apply to every 3P MP scale figure to date...

No, they haven't and I doubt they ever will. Companies are usually more focused on telling customers what they can and are doing rather than what they can't and will never do. I don't believe we'll ever see a flat out denial from Takara that they can't do Shockwave or anyone else but that doesn't mean that it can ever or will ever happen.

Think this Omnigonix Spinout is the best update toy we have so far based off the 1984 Sunstreaker toy. It's superior compared to the OTFCC Sunsreaker recolor, Alternators Sunstreaker and Classics Sunstreaker toys.

Most of the problems this toy has like the face sculpt, The modified engine exhaust being too small. Will likely get fixed, as the guy creating this wants feedback to fix this to please some.

Think this Omnigonix Sunstreaker toy is one of the better 3rd party TF toys on this front page. Don't think it's falls in the worse group here.

Yep, I suspect you may be right but I'm still hopeful that Takara will do one so I'm going to hold out for now (as I did with Quakewave, which I did end up eventually buying).

If enough time passes and it doesn't look like Takara's doing one and the final product for Spinout ends up looking worthy of my MP shelf then I'll probably get one to fill that gap.

Is the creator watching this thread or should we be casting our votes in a specific place?

Also, A and C appear to be identical, just facing opposite/different angles.

Anyway, A and C are the most show accurate so either of those would probably be my pick.
