I haven't had that issue at all, and the extra foot surface is great for posing, awkward shelves and just a little more height!

The weakest part, IMO, is the ball joint that acts as the ankle tilt. When I connected the feet into the limbs, I had to use a lot of force which caused the ankle support to pop out of the rest of the foot. In further attempts I found it easiest to detach the ankle support, plug it into the limb, then attach the thing to the feet via the ball joint.

What I've done is just split the foot apart before attaching it. But yes, that's really the only trouble I've had with it. Both parts are pretty solid, no worries about the feet splitting unless I want them to.

I really like the sets. I've had no issues with popping joints or anything, you just have to angle the foot connector the right way to fit into the figures' foot ports.

The hands are actually the stronger appendages, IMO. The fee are set a bit wide, but the hands are about the right size, and balled into a fist look much better than the stock hands.

Get them, you won't be disappointed. My Menasor actually looks like a menace. The only thing keeping me from getting the black Superion set is that I don't actually own my own Superion.

The black set is good for Defensor. I'm holding out for the white one for my Superion.

My office is being over-run with combiners now...

Could I request somebody take a pic of Menasor with the black parts and one of Defensor with the white ones? I'm just curious how they look

I don't think the white ones have been released yet. I know I haven't gotten mine from BBTS yet. I'll see about mixing and matching if I can this week...

I'm contemplating buying the purple and black ones, give black to Defensor and Purple to Menasor, along with that other Menasor upgrade kit with the new head, shoulders, and waist. However, I'm not sure if the hand/foot packs are worth the $33 I'd have to pay for each, as the money I'm using to get these could also be used for pre-ordering Bruticus and Scattorshot on BBTS when they come out (of course, chances are I'd have more money by then).

I really like the black set on Defensor. It looks great in my opinion. The purple set on Menasor looks a little less natural & Menasor's less than solid torso doesn't help. For him, I use the feet but keep Hasbro's hands on. I like the bulkier hands for him.

I guess it all depends on if you want new hands and feet or not. I just got my Superion in the mail today, and the new hands and feet were part of the same order, and personally, I don't regret it.

They make Superion look better, rather then the stock tiny feet.



They add a lot to the leg articulation.




The new hands are a bit more take it or leave it. They are better articulated, but I don't often find myself making use of hand articulation to any large degree. They look smaller then the stock hands, but they are about the same size. Just thinner.

They integrate well with the individual robot modes as well. In turning into guns, I think the hands are more successful then the feet!



(You may think the fourth large gun is missing, but it is tabbed into Superion's back, which hides it away completely.)

The only down side is in the alt modes, the large guns are a bit too large to work with any of the jets.




But then, I don't think any of the stock hand/foot pieces work with the alt modes, so at least here, you'd possibly only have to put aside the feet and you can still use the hands.

So really, is all of this functionality worth it to you? If so, go for it! If not, either stick with the stock hands & feet, or look for another third party option, such as Nonnef, which may only be usable as hands and feet, but will probably be good at what they do.

Well, I usually keep them in combined mode for display (though I occasionally decombine them to fiddle around with the individual components), so they would stay as hands and feet. and I like the extra ankle tilts, because I'll be displaying Defensor and Menasor with dynamic poses.


On a side note, looking at those pictures makes me want to to pick up the white set for Superion.

Since the foot guns don't work that well for the Aerialbots in alt mode, I found something else to do with them:



And I am sure there will be somewhere on Metroplex I can stick 'em if he's also in one of his alt modes.

Normally I don't like mixing accessories between bots, or, for bots on the same team, outside of the team. But this works for me, since in G1 Metroplex was designed to have some interactivity with Scramble City teams. So this, to me, just makes for a nice call back!

Hopefully this won't be a problem for me with Defensor. I suspect that a pair of the foot guns won't look too bad on Hotspot. And the Blades mold has a peg hole on the bottom, right? I was thinking I could just use a whole foot as a flight stand.

That's what I do, not with the PF upgrade right now, but with the given extremities.

I hope when Victorion comes out, Perfect Effect does a special set for her with high heel style boots and smaller more feminine hands. It would also be cool if they make her some breasts that could peg in to the holes on both sides of the defensor chest plate.

You mean above and beyond the super-nice stock feet/hands she gets? Because those are new molds, and actually look good.

Those arent bad but theres always room for 3rd party improvement. Maybe some boots that look less like leprechaun shoes and PEs individually articulated fingers would be preferable. And we gotta have the breasts. Thats the most important thing. Its would be a crime not to take advantage of those holes on her chest.
