Recently we reported a rumor here about an image that could possibly have been an early concept for Ratchet in the upcoming Transformers Movie. Well now another possible orginal design images has surfaced. TFW2005 has posted an image that could be the original movie concept for Optimus Prime. Check it out by clicking here.

That image makes me want to stab my eyes out.

The chest and feet are pretty much the same. The stupid flames are still there... makes me wonder for how long the powers-that-be had their collective hearts set on making the "Shakespearian" Prime, as he was referred to by the writers, all decked-out in rice-boy flame decals.

What are you talking about? This isn't the design. See. He picked the better design. The one that looks like Prime. Stop spamming.

well, I feel like now the design they chouse was the better of the 2, sure, everything else is the same exept the head, but the head was iconic really, and they chouse something more iconic to represent Prime. With that head, he seems more Gundam then Transformer reall, at least with the current head, it has the traditonal Prime-isms that make it stick out and such.

I'm glad they went with more red on the final design, and changed the head. Cause that design would fit in the movie somewhere, just not as Prime.

well well words cant describe this one oh wait yes it can with all the other transformer robot mode CRAP!!! and I use the word crap usely that M. BAY has putout and chosen for this film I am surprised he didnt go with this idea since the others ill start over autobots look pretty decent which has my vote but the decepticons dont get mee started on them or anyone else this one has a cannon on his he should be called Megaprime.

Awww hell no. What designer came up with that? He has a mohawk. I know transformers are from the 80s, but that doesn't mean prime needs to look like mr. T.

This actually makes the current model look ok.

Yeesh! Why not just call him Ultra Magnus? (You know, the Proto Magnus from TFTM in 86?) Too much blue.......I don't like it......I'm actually glad they chose the latter of the two designs........

Well, just so we all do remember, G1 Prime "did" have a mowhawk of sorts... not that I'm trying to justify the horror that was that prototype version... but it is there... :-)

On that one? They should have red flagged every single design! Weird how some fans say that one is awful and praise others like it.

BTW, that "mohawk" you speak of is more of a knight's helmet.

i smell sumthin fishy here. I think this is just a way to make the haters of the final prime design to like it better by showing crappy ones. (im not saying that i dont like movie prime) but all these leaked pre concept appears a conspiracy to me. Conditioning?

QFT with that design he should come with Neon bars, and Nitrous. Rice-boy indeed.

Well, it does look like a fan drawing, but I guess the flames were always there. Too much blue, head looks awful like the rest of the designs we have now.

Maybe, but I like the early design of Ratchet, it was a little better.

I can imagine the early concept of Megatron, or even a worst Starscream design. I don't think I want to know how they were before, I was angry before, and I let it go already. I'm at peace now.
