I mean, if I want ReAction or Funko Pop Transformers it's definitely the place to be, but if I want actual Hasbro figures then there's usually only 3 or 4 random figures around. Gamestop.com is pretty good for a deal, though.

Okay, wow, that is weird, I didn't realize Lift Ticket and DK Guard had different size boxes, despite both being deluxes (and having both myself). I wonder if fitting everything into a standard deluxe box might be one of the reasons the ER Van mold has not been released as a standard retail deluxe?

Edit: nevermind, DK guards box is just the old deluxe size, same as Transmutate.

I picked up SS Core Shockwave for $5 at Target (their last one) thanks to the current sale they're having. Really weird that it's basically just a sale for Shockwave and Ravage only since most places haven't seen Spike in stores yet.

Looks like the Walmart exclusive Legacy Beasts finally made it to my area. Also found SS Bee movie Arcee at Target last week and got her for a deal at $18 because she wasn't in the system yet. I love it when the cashier doesn't seem to give an eff. I can certainly relate at times with my own job...

It's pretty rare to get an amazing deal on eBay but here I am.

A Canadian seller was selling some G1 micromasters with their "trailer". It was not very clear if they were complete nor their condition via the too short item description. Still, the pictures were clear enough and with a bit of research I confirmed that they were indeed complete.

Starting bid at 20$can or "best offer." 1 day and a half remain. Meh, might as well offer something. I'll be auto refused as usual. I offer 25$can for one...
... Auto accept!
Repeat for the other 3.
Contact seller for combined shipping, instant reply with "Sure, bro, 20$can total to ship."

TlDr, I got G1 Roughstuff, Flattop, Erector, and Overload for a grand total of 120$can shipped! All 100% complete, in pristine condition, and with even the stats cards! Normally, those micromasters sets in this perfect condition sell at the very least for double of what I paid.

I can't believe my luck!
My G1 Fortnax and Scorponok cities will be even more populated.

Yeah, that was quite the stroke of luck. Usually, sellers just dick around with the "best offer" option, setting it to auto-reject offers until 1 cent shy of the high price they want. I never expected to be auto-accepted at such a low amount!

Sill, I consider yourself to be luckier to be able to order from Mandarake without having to go through their no-deal-bend-over-and-take-it-all-in DHL. COVID is over worldwide for a while yet it's still their only shipping option for Canadian...

I went to my local geek store to buy a pair of G1 Lazerbeak gins to finalize a custom that I'm currently making.

Well, turn out he got a fresh arrival of G1 toys!
So I could nab Ramhorn, Rewind, and Huffer at those incredible prices (in CAN$).

The only negative is they make those last two G1 Eject and Razorclaw Steeljaw at 75$can shipped EACH a pill that is still hard to swallow.

New Mandarake haul!

Box 1, let's call it the Galaxy Force box.

Galaxy Force Nitron Convoy- 2,500JPY ($18.37) loose complete - I have both Overrides, but I could not pass up this price (less than a modern Deluxe!) for a better version.

Galaxy Force Landbullet (Crumplezone)- 6,000JPY ($44) sealed - I have Dark Crumplezone, but missed this one.

Galaxy Force Chromia (Thunderblast)- 6,000JPY ($44) sealed - Not a good figure and barely an interesting character, but a Cybertron collection isn't complete without her. I passed on her back in the day, but have you seen what she goes for now!? Broken ones SELL on eBay for $40, complete loose ones are around $60, a sealed one sold for $140, and that's not the superior Galaxy Force version. Couldn't believe my luck at this price!

Box 2, very random.

Transformers Adventures Greejeeber - 1,000JPY ($7.35) sealed - Funny thing is I still don't have a Strongarm figure, this is my first use of the mold.

Bumblebee Movie Studio Series Cliffjumper - 2,800JPY ($20.57) sealed - Missed his Hasbro release and now the price has skyrocketed to around $50 on eBay. Got it cheap because the box art on the front is ripped a little.

G-2 Dreadwing and Smokescreen - 7,000JPY ($51.43) open box - Always wanted this set, used to see it all the time at KB Toys back then on a display with Laser Prime. I did eventually get the BWII version from BBTS later, but still had to get the OG. Eventually I'd like to get the other versions, especially the Robot Masters version.

Also until now I didn't realize they were trying to promote Dreadwing as having multiple alt mode configurations on the back of the box. Looking on TFWiki they call that top one, "Dread Roadblock Mode", unofficial originating from the Legend comics, but no, it is official, it's right there on the box written in English and all! The second one is "Hover Stealth Mode" and the third is... "Crab Ambush".

This week's hauls:

First, I tried the Buyee service. There was a 20$CAN coupon from some youtube video so why not? I found a sealed Takara Beast Wars Shadow Panther at Yahoo Auctions Japan. With the coupon, it was only 24$CAN total! ...But Japan Posts still hates Canada for reasons son only no-deals DHL is available. So the shipping and taxes alone were 61$CAN! Total, around 85$CAN shipped. Still way better than eBay, but it's frustrating that the deal could have been much better in normal circumstances.

Next from Amazon.ca, Legacy Deluxe Dragstrip and Kickback. The firsts from their respective teams.

Finally from my local geek store, he got a nice G1 lot so I could finally get the vintage G1 Soundwave (pre-rub and droopy), G1 Ravage, Buzzsaw, and Lazerbeak (all pre-rub) and G12 Rumble (1986 version). Finally from the same place, G1 Wreckgar, but clean of stickers appart the . I had to order a sheet from Toyhax.

All G1 are in excellent shape and are 100% complete. Expensive overall, but way better than eBay plus shipping.



With Shadow Panther, this trio is finally complete!

Well, turn out the stickers sheet for Wreckgar was hidden into the instructions manual!
And I already ordered the Reprolabels... Let's hope I'll be able to cancel that Toyhax order. If not, that extra sheet will be used for some random custom.

Here's my big order from eBay.

RID Brave Maximus! I had one of these pre-ordered some 20 years ago on BBTS but just before the release money had gotten tight so I canceled it with the intention of ordering again when I got paid the following week. They were still in stock when I canceled, but when I got paid they had sold out. So this is unfinished business for me, it even showed up in a BBTS box! I took the plunge on this because I saw one on Mandarake for only 25,000JPY (I'm guessing shipping would have been another 20,000JPY which still would have been a great total), but I was at work when I saw it and had to do something, it was gone 10 minutes later when I checked again.

This one was at a starting bid of $330 + $50 shipping and tax which seemed like a fair price to me. I bid $350, but I was the only bidder. Transformerland tells me that's less than they're worth and similar sold ones on eBay went for more. Yeah, it's Sonokong, but the figure quality is the same. He's complete and the stickers are good, but the seller missed some big spots like around the head that are caked in dust. Also the photo on the auction only showed one side of the box which looked pristine so I made the mistake of of thinking the other side was just as good. The other side of the box in my photo is a disaster, there's a huge hole right in the middle and above that is a big piece of packing tape that somebody had started to pull off and tear the surface of the box. Not good, but the box will be going in a closet so I'm not too broken up over it. Overall I'm very happy to get this in my RID collection at long last. Only a few more pieces and I'll be content with my RID collection being complete enough.

G1 is extremely expensive, and the affordable ones are usually damaged, incomplete, or just a topspin/twin twist. I really don't have the money to spend, even if its less than usual. I'd probably just get quality KOs if I want any, because it doesn't really matter to me if they are fake, as long as they are cheaper than the actual version.
