I hate the soxs, I expect the Indians to win, get into the series and get smashed upside the head by the Rockies.

It looks like it's happening. The Sox are down 3-1 and facing elimination, with former Marlin WS MVP Josh Beckett trying to save them.

Cleveland is on a mission. The Rockies are fulfilling destiny. This world series will be awesome. Expect high scores and amazing plays on both sides.

Cleveland VS Rockies. Red Sox may win tonight, but will go down 4-2 in the end.

Boston better pray that they get three great pitching outings in a row from Beckett, Schilling, and Dice-K. Of course with how bad Dice-K has looked all playoffs, they better hope for a miracle.

No manager can get the Yankees to a World Series. Think about it, they have, if you can fathom it, too much talent. Too many egos, they don't mend well together. They don't play as a team, they play as a bunch of individuals trying to be great. And everyone knows good pitching beats good hitting anyday ala ARod not hitting at all.

Torre needs to go somewhere where he can find raw talent, teach them the game, and make that team champs like he did in 2001.

I'm not happy with all the coverage they are giving this. How many times do we have to hear the same thing over and over. If something new comes up then let us know, otherwise get on with all the other sports. I say this because this seems to be the only thing ESPN can talk about now.

My question, for Torre is if he thought 5 mil was an insult and wanted more were does he think he is going to get it?

That is because all they can talk about is the Yankees, the Red Sox, the Cowboys, Kobe Bryant, and Michael Vick. It is required by law I guess

but i don't know, with only 3 days rest, they might choke against Colorado.

I agree. Beckett is a litle full of himself. But then again, I probably would be too if I was WS MVP at 23.

i was a bit surprised myself at all the role players on Boston's win. it's fun to see almost all the players contribute some big runs and saves.

and oh, Beckett's only 23?!? he looks like 27-30 especially with his trademark low-slung cap.

here's hoping that they repeat 2004 all over again.
