Hmmm, I'll have to ask OS on that one. With all the new ground/sea/air based tactics multichangers could be quite handy at times. I'll get back to you on this one.

Weapon: Dol-Laser Rifle
Will there be any way to select a TF's combat style between melee or ranged besides just setting the stats appropriately? Like is there something I can do to make my TF back off until his weapons recharge or just only his fire weapon if it has no recharge at all?

I agree!
But I do still think we need alot more alt mode options, instead of less/altered ones.

But I also agree with the idea of there being some [new] alt looks also.
I just think we should be able to pick the new or old ones.... to kinda make it "look" like we have diff bots. Then after awhile into v2.0 just remove the old one from (player alt mode choice) an keep the new ones.
That way those of us who have played since before the version change would be able to have something to kinda show off... like vet scars or somethin... lol

...{([IF])} you do decide to add some {([MORE])} alt modes... the Decepticons NEED the evil guardian class robots/omega supreme base alt mode for a choice.

in this game you're TF will always use his weapons if it's recharged, so will only fire his weapon if it's no recharge, he won't use punchs or kicks.

Tactics take priority over weapon attacks, weapon attacks take priority over unarmed attacks.


though it is a good suggestion that a mech waiting for it's weapon to recharge would be a less attractive target(as he is less of a threat) than the one who's ready to line your lungs with lead. i really need to talk to OS about a gambit system.

I'm a n00b here and so far this is a pretty interesting game. I'm looking forward to the upcoming changes :)

Aside from wishing for multichangers, how about the possibility of gestalts, where transformers from different teams of the same faction may have the option to combine (could possibly be a tactic)?

Many Transformers in the past (and no doubt in the future) carried more than one weapon; the original Cheetor had two guns (he was even shown using both in the series, though never at the same time), Blitzwing had a gun and a sword, and even Prime had his Laser Cannon and an energy ax. Are our characters going to be able to carry more than one weapon?

If so, what will be the limitations?

No multiple weapons at first. The main goals with weapons in the initial release are going to be balance and functionality.

How bots can use multiple weapons will come after all the weapons actually work.

It would seem that a secondary weapon should be more like an unlockable tactic than something you purchase if you ask me.

Could also be limited by how much FRP a bot has. For example, using the current weapons chart, a bot with 2FRP could weild a Dol Rifle OR two Acid Rays, but not a Dol and Acid Rays. 'Course, there'd have to be a limit to the total number of weapons a bot could carry, so we don't have bots with 10FRP carrying around 10 disruptor rifles. :-?

So in Version 2 is it going to be the same old level up sytem or is there going to be a revision on that? Also will there be a period of time where they have Movie themed missioned to go along with the upcoming movie?

It depends on what you mean by "Team Info". If you mean the character bios and team bios, you get to keep those. The performance info will be reset. It has not been confirmed that there will be a "Hall of Fame" type page where you can view your "info" after the reset.

With the 3 tactics per mech, there's a possibility that there will require an extre one or two point needed to reach the next level,but that's still under discussion.
