No.

I think the results would have been the same. When anybody tries to ask direct questions about the work done by those in charge, they are set upon by various members of the community like bloodthirsty hyenas and belittled for daring to "peek behind the curtain".

If we used the News Bulletin Page once and a while... this would not happen.

I would think that'd be more game related than personel related. Perhaps something should have been said in one of the sticky threads or something.

Ahh well...now we know and all of that junk.

I took offense to your comment about the tournament it's self being "ill-fated".

While I had no personal hand in the tournament it's self, I am sick and tired of people criticising such events and make no effort to help run them themselves.

Add to that, I recall the tournament being an absoloute success. It was intended to test new features, things were tested, bugs were found, and the bugs will be ironed out in time.

Plus people had plenty of fun ... well, most people anyway.

Well... With Glyph's importance to the continued exsistance of the game, those lines can get blurred.

We are a community here. A very dysfunctional community, but a community none the less. Despite all of our differences there are those of us that do reach out with prayers and well wishes for those in trouble or congradulations for the good times.

Think when Austrailia being hit by the Cyclone and the concern for Burn's well being and just recently, Quietstorm's Nuptuals and pending deflowering. The good times and the bad (not necessarily in that order).
Neither one frontpage HMW news, but of significant intrest to the Community.

Glyph is different. His absence affects the game and the future of the game. I'm not saying that his personal life should be Frontpage. His absence should be. For those that are concerned they can then check the forums (again, no details are necessary. Then we can all give our prayers, goat sacrifices, or general happy thoughts (whatever floats your boat) as a community.

I do my share. Just not here. My work happens after the Tournys.

Burn wrote:Add to that, I recall the tournament being an absoloute success. It was intended to test new features, things were tested, bugs were found, and the bugs will be ironed out in time.

I don't know if the Tourny was a success for me because I don't have the results and I can't do my work without them. As for the bugs being worked out, that remains to be seen.

Fun was had. No fun now because I can't do my job.

There's a reason the bulletins haven't been updated. Only Glyph and Ryan have that ability.

As for your "work" with tournaments, I can only assume that it relates to your own personal interests and contributes nothing towards the community except incite a few flame wars when you post your usual selfish critical diatribes you're so well known for.

And there you would be absolutly, totally, and utterly wrong.

You would also be incorrect and in error.

Did I mention not right as well?

As well as far from the truth.

You say it, but i've dealt with you on these forums for nearly 4 years.

I may not know you completely as a person, but when it comes to HMW and your attitude towards it, I think I can safely say I know you quite well.

It's all work for the AWC. My part of building a community. Granted, its not here. But HMW related none the less.

Back on some sort of topic: Seibertron.com has more than a few people that moderate the Main Page News. Why is it such a strech of the imagination to have more than two people posting news for HMW? It's kind of sad that the best sorce of information on current events for HMW isn't even it's dedicated main page. The page that every single player sees each time he plays.

So really what you're doing is only for the benefit of a small minority group huh? ;;)

HMW and the News postings are not linked, the only way to link them is via Admin access, something only four people have, two of which have only been in the job for a week or so.

Maybe if you joined the rest of the Seibertron.com community you'd understand what was going on and wouldn't look like a whining selfish prat who does nothing but demand things all the time. ;;)

Is there a problem with that? My work is open to any Autobot player that chooses to join the AWC.

What good would joining the community do? There's never any news posted! Any relevent information gets burried under endless spam.

Who demanded anything? I just asked a question. A question that exposed some glaring inadequacies apparently.

Let's ask more...

Does anyone out side of the Forum Community know that there's a Scavenger Hunt going on? Nope. Why? Because there's no Bulletin on the Front Page! You know how I found out. The AWC Boards. Bet we'd have more people playing besides "a small minority group" if there were a bulletin.

Hey everybody! The Emperor has no clothes on!
Heaven forbid anybody question the Status Quo.

Goddamn I cannot believe you.

You learnt about the Scavenger Hunt because you read it on the AWC boards.

Hey guess what! If you'd come to the HMW forums first you would have seen it here!

But instead you have taken your company, and your ideas, to a forum that caters to a minority.

You want the bulletin page updated to reflect what's going on? Well guess what! WE ALL **** WANT THAT!

But what's it going to take for you to understand that less than a handful of people have the ability to do that!

What's it going to take for you to understand that for anyone else to be given access requires intervention from Ryan who's had other priorities. Are you even aware that a Seibertron.com moderator passed away this weekend? Someone who was a friend to Ryan?

When will you accept that HMW is NOT the main part of Seibertron.com?

Enjoy what you have, be grateful for you what, or just shut up about it because I, and i'm sure many others, are sick of your negativity.

Just want to throw in how amazed I am that HMW is free to play.
[opinion]
I for one would pay 3 or 4 bucks a month to play. But the fact that it is free makes me bite my tongue on update issues.

Seconded.

Omega Sentinel wrote:PS....There's an alt hunt going on? :?

There was a scavenger hunt... (you remember, that thing you n me came second in OS) :P

steve2275 wrote:who won again

Now that really is a complex answer...

Numerically, the Cons won, BUT, the Bots won in two of the three level boundries... If that makes any sence at all, lol.

Personally, I enjoyed the tournie by and large, even if I was a little miffed by the level boundires of the missions. And I was very chuffed with the cool alts we all won.

And Lucky.
I fully suport the existence of off board HMW groups (member of RDD and DSA myself). BUT, the main source of news for HMW is always going to be the HMW GD. That is where those who know post for those who dont. That is where you go. If you cant be arsed to check, then who's problem is that?

And Glyph's illness has been mentioned repeatedly.

Now go see if there is 5% of you that has an ounce of commen sence....

EDIT: Also I've always perceived these tourniments and hunts as a way to (as well as making the game more fun) increase the HMW comunities use of the forum. (It's worked in my case, I didnt really bother much with the HMW GD until the end of last year when I started playing the verious hunts.)

Other way around we won the 6-10 and the 3-5 the bots won the 0-2 but had more points altogether

I agree. I've gotten more involved here lately since leaving AWC. Minus a few people getting their feelings hurt too easily, it has been pretty fun.

Yes, I spend more time over at the AWC site. I enjoy the company of free thinkers and the ability to express differing oppinions.

I knew that a Seib mod passed away. There was a news bulleting about it! That's what happens when information is passed along, people learn things.

Glyph: Didn't know. No Bulletin (Found out when I asked him a question and was assaulted by inflamitory comments.)

Scavenger Hunt: Didn't know. No Bulletin (Found out from AWC site.)

Do you see a trend here?

Game was free: Knew that because because if we actually had to pay for this, it would have failed a long time ago. And everytime people ask for information or updates on progress, the mindless masses drone out in goosestep fashion to quell the insurrection of progress.

My God! I disagree with Glyph. Better send me to Seibertron Gettmo for forming my own oppinion. Better send in the Department of HMW Security to wiretap his phone!

It's getting a little Orwellian around here.
