UltraPrimal wrote:What's the Wii got coming out in the next 6 months? Deadly Creatures, House of the Dead, Dead Rising, and Ghostbusters are the only ones that look mildly interesting. The rest are either based on a TV show, or movie, or some other franchise, sports games, or are multiplatform games that are probably better on other platforms.

UltraPrimal wrote:I just saw on Gametrailers.com that Nintendo is re-releasing their old games, like Metroid Prime 1 and Mario Tennis, but with Wii controls added in.
UltraPrimal wrote:I'm sorry but I thought Nintendo was above that sort of thing. Any other 3rd party company I could see doing that, but not Nintendo. What happened the gold seal of quality? It's turned into a brown pile of ****.
UltraPrimal wrote:Nintendo's spent so much time catering to the masses that they've forgot about the hardcore.
UltraPrimal wrote:Metriod Prime 3 was good. SSBB was OK. But I wasn't waiting for them as much as I was agonizingly anticipating TP. Where's the next Zelda game? It's been 3 years!
UltraPrimal wrote:That's the same amount between the last 3 major Zelda games. But we haven't even heard anything about it 'cause there isn't one.
UltraPrimal wrote:Nintendo is too busy swinging their Wiimotes and rolling their monkey balls around and rubbing their touch pads to get up off their asses and make a decent game.
UltraPrimal wrote:No wonder the gaming media doesn't even consider the Wii to be a part of the console race.
UltraPrimal wrote:The Wii doesn't deserve to be in the same glass cases as the 360 and PS3. It's nothing more than an over-priced, under-powered toy now.
UltraPrimal wrote:Sorry about the rant. I've been with Nintendo since the original NES days, but now I feel betrayed. I'm moving on to 360 just like Metal Gear, Resident Evil, and everyone else has.

Valve? They have nothing on the kings of waiting, 3D Realms.

I'm all for remakes. Heck if they were to just remake Ocarina of Time, with new graphics and add content, I'd be very happy. But it's when they re-release the exact same game, just with Wii controls shoehorned in I have a problem.
UltraPrimal wrote:Let's use the 2 examples I gave. Metroid Prime: I already have that game, so I'm not ganna buy it again for new controls.
UltraPrimal wrote:Mario Tennis: Why not just release a patch for Wii Sports so you can play as Mario and friends.
UltraPrimal wrote:Or failing that, just make a new Wii Sports with Mario and them as playable characters and all the previous sports included.

Senor Hugo wrote:But why buy something in dumbed down graphics, motion controls and slack mob-sizes when you could just headover to Gamestop and buy a used version of the 360 version for $20

What Gamestop are you going to that has a 360 for $20? Because I want a ridiculously cheap 360.

I think he meant you could get Dead Rising or Dead Space for $20. Not yet, but soon enough they'll be that cheap.

TheMuffin wrote:By redundant I mean that a good amount of the games are copies of/rehashes of another game already released. Wii Play, Wii Sports, etc. They're the same thing over and over again. Nintendo needs to actually come out with something that makes using the motion control worth while.
Regardless I'm not sure why I'm posting in here. I had a Wii for two days and sold it to a sucker on ebay.

Cormaster628 wrote:When it comes to Nintendo they need to just keep making good first party games because honestly the majority (not all) of third party support has sucked since the N64! The SNES was the last system to have good 3rd party game support, it all went to hell after that! This picture explains it all right here:

Cormaster628 wrote:Capcom is usually pretty awesome about supporting everything. I remember them porting all their games to dreamcast when dreamcast was out. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on dreamcast was awesome!
