Speaking as somebody from eastern Washington, it's pretty nice, especially if you want to escape from someplace you don't like.
The thing is, I love to live in clean air and wide open spaces, especially with mountains as the scenery. I'd have no problem with the harsh winters whatsoever.

And even though winter sucks, we're generally well equipped to deal with it, especially in the Crawford/Otsego/Mio area.
I grew up in Northeast Ohio, so I have had enough of the Northeast for a lifetime. I'd move back if I
had to, but not as long as I have a choice. (At this time I have NO choice to go anywhere.) I'm not saying Michigan isn't nice, it probably is. I won't judge it because I haven't seen any other part besides the Detroit area. But I was raised out in the country and moved to the city when I was 13. I thought moving down to Georgia would put me back in the country, but it's just not the same. Unlike the majority of people, I prefer cold, snow, and mountains.
