My area sees a lot of 17-24 year olds getting utes and doing them up, some actually use them to go camping, others just use them because ... ute. Those that don't tend to go for a car with a bit of grunt to it.
Rarely do you get a young guy go for a "practical" car. My first car was a 87 Mitsubishi Magna. Neither a ute, nor a car with grunt, it was all I could afford. And it was far from practical given it was an utter piece of ****. The next car however was an 87 VL Commodore which had grunt (V6). I also put a decent stereo in it.
Then I got older and as you'll find, your priorities change, it's no longer about getting from point a to point b in the quickest possible time, nor is it about looking "cool", you just want a good reliable car that doesn't cost much to run.
Hence why I now have a 2007 Toyota Corolla with clear coating that is breaking down.

My 1st car was a 1984 Chrysler LeBaron. Bought it from a "friend" for $400. Piece of crap. But it had 4 good tires and a good engine, and back then that's all that mattered to me.Burn wrote:Rarely do you get a young guy go for a "practical" car. My first car was a 87 Mitsubishi Magna.
