Nope, Dolphins have been known to kill other animals just for shits and giggles.

Yeah, I know, not what I meant though.
I mean the concept of cruelty is a human one, as in we created the word, and the term for such a thing. It's a human one because we can look at something and say "that's cruel", or "That's mean" and feel bad for it, even if we aren't the cause. Animals don't usually have that concept in the wild, though there are exceptions i'm sure, i'm just parroting what ive heard/read in the past, it's not like im a nature expert.
But I'm pretty sure an animal would need to have quite a brain capacity to know that, not only is it being cruel, but it's enjoying being cruel as well. Dolphins are pretty smart creatures though, so I wouldn't put it past them.
I highly doubt a snake gets it's jollies off by eating other animals though, it doesnt do it to be vindictive, it does it to live.
As for why dolphins do what they do? Who knows, dolphins can be evil.
So onward from the whole animals being cruel thing, lets talk about awesome pets.
I used to own a pretty cool cat, no pun intended, and prefer them to dogs quite a bit. They're more relaxed in my experience, unless it's 2am and you're just barely falling asleep

BeastProwl wrote:I mean that to an animal, they arent being cruel.
Examples like the dolphin are exceptions, not the rule.
The point is the snake isn't being cruel, it's being a snake.
It's only cruel in the eyes of the person who sees it as cruel. Get what i'm saying now? A person who feeds their snakes regularly wont think of them as cruel, it's just a part of them being alive.

You do understand you almost perfectly summed up serial killer psychology, right?

Yes, we can. Well I can't agree that they're creepy, I think they're cute, but whateverI DO however find spiders creepy, so there's some common ground I guess.

Also, I need to add to that list I made above.

That means, no Disneyworld for me either. I mean, you never know who's in one of those! What if it's the Purple Guy! (FNaF joke)

I'm religious, and I think that notion is stupid. Since Lucifer was described as one of the angels, it is likely that he merely took the form of a serpent.Nemesis Maximo wrote:And to those who say snakes are associated with the devil; certainly, if one is religious, you cannot forget the fact that God would have created snakes in the first place, and so should not condemn a creature of His making simply because of a supposed connection to Satan. It would not have been allowed to remain in the Garden of Eden if it really was associated with the devil.

Well, unlike Satan, snakes never led a rebellion against God and tainted a perfect world with sin, so I would say that's an unfair comparison.Shadowman wrote:Nemesis Maximo wrote:And to those who say snakes are associated with the devil; certainly, if one is religious, you cannot forget the fact that God would have created snakes in the first place, and so should not condemn a creature of His making simply because of a supposed connection to Satan. So...we shouldn't condemn Satan, either? Because God made him, too.
