Oh no I agree, I've spent some time there and it is a fantastic place, probably the only Midwestern state I'd ever want to live in.

Michigan is a Midwestern state
If we're comparing Michigan to Montana, it should be Montana that gets offended. :-P And Montana is NOT a Midwestern state, it's a Northwestern state.

That plug is so shameless it's actually resulted in negative shame. We have to redraw the entire shame-rating system because of this.

Evolution Baby!

No really it's really just a way of thinking you gotta adopt with pets like that.

It's not their fault they eat the way they do. How they eat is a helluva lot less cruel than how we do. But that wont stop you from ordering a steak or a burger

I've fed a lizard a mouse before, it's certainly a mini guilt trip, but like crushing a bug, you'll eventually grow numb to it and it'll be like anything else. It's just part of owning the pet.

But if ya cant stomach it, they sell little sausages you can feed your snake online instead :D

That is like the funniest thing I have heard all day.

Yeah I used to live down in Costa Rica, and they have very interesting snakes down there. I went to a snake exhibit there where they had live snakes both large and small in display cases. It was actually pretty awesome. There are weird snakes there.

Thankfully there aren't any snakes in my garden (we have a couple of snake species in the UK, but I've never seen any in the wild). The worst things to come into my garden are flocks of divebombing seagulls, because for some reason my neighbour puts fish out for them. I've considered putting a pond in my back garden to see if it attracts any frogs or toads, but I'm not sure i it would work. Frogspawn often appears in puddles next to a nearby cycling path around late February/early March, but the puddles dry up by June and I doubt any frogs survive in the area.

He wasn't talking about his garden. It was a Bible reference.

And no, me eating a steak or a burger is not more cruel than a snake eating its prey alive and whole.

It's not cruel, it's nature. Technically speaking, cruelty is a human concept. I'm not saying go out and kick puppies or something like that, but a snake eating it's prey whole is no less cruel than a wolf hunting a rabbit, it's just how things work. Animals eat other animals, and the way we treat them before they get slaughtered for steaks, and burgers, is cruel by our own definition of what cruelty is. My point in all this was, Snake Sausages are awesome  I dont like feeding animals other animals...I don't even like feeding bugs to lizards... So the sausages are a great substitute :D
