as this occurred due to the malfunctioning CR and it is strikingly close to the repair virus my team is either infected with or carry .. :-?

It's a pandemic plotline. How much infection can occur within a given (short) timeframe.
Plus I hadn't given it any more thought than, capitalizing on the recent CR bug than zombie-bots and for Sh*ts and giggles.

Consider that the first of those 2 missions is already 4 cons V 0 bots, it's not strategically wise to enter any bots, as they will lose the battle, and the odds are increased that they would lose the battle with 0 XP & Res.
It's a better strategy to let the cons have that uncontested win and put our resources to use else where.

No wonder I get so many unopposed missions.
You Bots are using the Jack Hallows manual.
Nobody wants to be there first in or join missions where you don't already have the advantage.
I understand the feeling especially with how outmatched yinz are but if your going to adopt that strategy you'd be much more effective if you listened to Wingz and coordinate your troops better. You may have back up waiting their just using the same tactics as you and won't join first.

As I said, it's strategically better, specially with the outnumbering you mentioned.
Doesn't mean I like it, or that I always adhere to it, but it's about survival, and it is something that would be considered in any IRL war before committing troops.

Sometimes those outnumbered missions is all I got. Like Steve, I often throw mine in solo mostly because Cons don't get much off of mine unless they are close to my level.

To be fair I use a similar system, except I base mine on time left in a mission. If there's still time left, I'll put mine in missions where's there is more bots as more cons could turn up. If the mission only has a minute or less? I don't bother unless the level advantage isn't much and I could still scrap xp out.
