Thank to this Baidu user we have official images of the next vintage Beast Wars reissue figures. These images come from Hasbro Asia. The two figures are Iguanus and K-9. Iguanus was originally a basic figure, like Rattrap and Terrorsaur while K-9 was a deluxe. Interestingly, Beast Wars is the line where the Deluxe class originates from and K-9 is a great example of why these toys were assigned such a spiffy designation. He has quite a few accessories with his back becoming a shield, his tail becoming a spring loaded weapon and his beast mode ribs becoming missiles for said gun. Please note that the images show K-9 with his mutant face flipped down, he has a more standard robotic face as well.

We don't know when these will come out in the west but at least we know they are coming. These are set to be Walmart exclusives as well.

Looks like K-9 has the same shortened missiles as Wolfang. Shortened so they no longer protrude outward from his tummy.

I got the original K-( and Iguanus at my local geek store a while ago so I'm good.

Also, Terrosaur's preorders are back up at Walmart.ca so I got mine.

I'm inclined to agree personally, but I'm sure there are some that really want these. As I've got most of them already, I'm on the lookout for the "rarer" ones or the ones I missed out on (not including awful ones that I skipped on, like Retrax), like some of the Japanese exclusives (BW2, 2 and Neo) and the BW recolours in Armada, Beast Machines, RID etc.

Wolfang doesn't have shortened missiles. They're pretty clearly not installed K9's back in the first place otherwise you'd see them around the sides. The problem with Wolfang is that they don't have any friction to keep them in place.

It was here that I first saw it claimed that Vintage Wolfang's missiles were shorted.

And your video is the one I had referenced when I said they aren't short, they definitely protrude out of his chest. If they really are shorter it can't be by much.

I don't remember but they might have been falling out and not protruding.

Those mistransformed stock images of K-9 are very strange. His torso extension is due to his altmode transformation. That hinge shouldn't be visible in Bot Mode. It would be like having Cybershark standing up with his Bot legs in Shark Mode. When even the box art (and old marketing shots) makes it clear that his torso doesn't have a black break inbetween the white and blue of his colour palette. Who [at HasTak] looked at these images and said 'yeah that looks fine!' :-?

This isn't the first time the stock images have been Cleary and insanely wrong. We've seen FAAAR worse.
