But it has been, for at least a decade now. I imagine there are more modern iterations of G1 figures, than the total number of figures in the original line. Have they all been updated? No. Will they? Absolutely not. G1 only exists in a cherry-picked capacity.
The ultimate hypocrisy of the 'GEEWUNnery'. That the people behind that push, don't care about preserving the entire original line, at all. Only the "favourites". Which leads to the broader question of are you even a fan of the franchise itself, or a handful of characters within it?
I adored and continue to highly regard Beast Wars. The show
and The Toyline. The bios and tech specs opened a window to the darker reality of the wider war, that the show could only afford to hint at. True I am apathetic to BW 2/Neo and most of their toyline but, if they had been released at the same time as the Mainframe show and original lines, I would most likely have been totally onboard. I was fully invested in the whole thing.
I doubt that is the case for those behind G1 Generations, SIEGE etc
