Depth Charge and Tigerhawk

Those both are really good toys.

My Depthcharge is missing like 2 disks, but he's so cool and the manta ray is truly impressive. He's also signed by David Sobolov, so you can't beat that!

Tigerhawk is one of my all time favorite Beast characters, and toys in general. That toy is so....

Always been a fan of Depthcharge, figure and character. He was the worthwhile new addition to Season 3. Unlike Tigerhawk, he got a sufficient amount of screen time too.

Aside from the "Battle Cat" mask, I really liked the Tigerhawk figure too.

So I got this guy in, and this guy is kind of a surprise to me



It feels weird to have a G1 mold in the Beast Wars line, especially a city former. It feels even weirder to have him in BWII. But I think he is cool, and he goes pretty well with his brother and his Daddy (sort of). I love the paint work on him, I think that is the best part.

It also feels weird because I have the complete show cast from Beast Wars and Beast Wars Neo, but I only have 3 Maximals and now 2 Predacons from Beast Wars II. That is a line that is going to prove difficult to finish once I focus back in on it.

Depth Charge is one of my favorites (Toy and Character), hence my avatar.

He's a great figure, aside from the Battle Cat mask. As it interferes with the articulation of his left arm.

I do wish the toys had been truly reflective of the show. The Transmetal 2 line packaging alone heavily implied Tigerhawk was the new Maximal leader. Perhaps that might have worked with the True dystopian reality that should have been Season 3, following The Agenda. A Vok based team trying to save the timestream from Megatron, all exclusively based on the TM 2 line could have been the show Beast Machines should have been.

But I digress and we got the likes of Optimal Situation and Master Blaster instead...

I liked the idea of Transmetals 2 being the results of Megs experiments, just wished they went the whole hog and revealed that he forced his other allies to undergo the change, Transmetals 2 Rampage would have been terrifying to see.

They were planning to use Tigerhawk in Beast Machines... Considering what the Maximals all ultimately looked like, especially Silverbolt, Be careful what you wish for

The sole consolation of Season 3 for me, was Depthcharge. Aside from that, we needed more than an episode and a half of Tigerhawk.

Toy or in fiction?

Both. In IDW continuity, he was the only show character who did not show up at all. He hasn't shown up in comics, except as Razorclaw. He was in 3 episodes.

I love the entire concept of the character, yet his fiction is 3 episodes and 1 toy. He has the potential for greatness! Let him have another go!

The Fuzors in general had a lot of wasted potential to be fair. As they can't organically be used in other TF media.

It stems from the fact that Hasbro kept waffling on whether they were even going to produce the toy.

So with some recent purchases that are on the way or that have arrived, I realized that I have not only completed the Fuzors, but I only have 4 Transmetal and 6 Transmetal II molds left to get a representation of!

You definitely need TM Airazor, she is a real gem. She looks great as a bird, has an interesting "vehicle" mode, and she has a bonus armored mode. Plus the metallic plastic looks especially great on her.

I'd recommend Transformerland for your loose and carded Beasties. I often use them and although some prices are relatively high, they are a considerable step up from the "dice roll" that is eBay.

TM Airazor was a really good figure, ambiguous third mode aside. I used to ponder how her kibble would have been size altered for the show model.

Ohh you've got some interesting choices there. In my searches, Optimus Minor and TM 2 Blackarachnia have been the most expensive to source. Which is really odd in Minor's case, as I know there is quite a bit of hate for the figure. Weirdly enough those two are the only ones from your list I never owned or sought out.

At the high end, as a carded figure, I've seen Minor go for as much as £30/$30 (approx the same in both markets). One even as high as £50 (an import from Australia)
