You met Ghandi?
Yes
Really?
+2 cool points for you.

Too true. Also add any other fembot from all TF series here.Counterpunch wrote:2. RiD was a great show, with a great plot, and it appealed just as well to kids as it should to collectors.
I have to disagree here. RID was too silly and childish. All of the Decepticons/Predicons were more buffoonish than they were bad, and the Autobots were more idiotic than heroic.Counterpunch wrote:3. Armada Megatron was more bad-ass than G1 Megatron. His plots actually work.
What plots of Armada Megatron? All he did was go on a Minicon scavenger hunt through the first 2/3 of the toon. At least G1 Megatron tried different strategies.Counterpunch wrote:4. Armada/Energon/Cybertron/Classics is a superior group of toys than G1. I said it. It's true. Stop living in denial.
If you are going just by toyline, then yes this is somewhat true, but there are some G1 figures that are really great that Hasbro/TakaraTomy hasn't been able to improve on. G1 Dinobots and the G1 Constructicons are a good example of this. Articulation alone does not a good toy make.

That's like saying carrot-orange puke is better than pea-green puke. It may be true, but ultimately they're both still puke!

Well, I personally liked Prime Directive's. And like it or not, I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be a movie now if DW hadn't started putting out Transformer comics. It's what got me back into Transformers.
But anyway, I decided to re-read War Within Vol. 1 yesterday. It had been quite awhile since I read it, and decided why not. Man, I gotta admit, that was a pretty poor story.
They took six issues to essentially have a Prime/Megatron battle, and in between, we got next to no characterization of anybody. Sure, a lot of bots and cons appear, but that's mostly at the battle of Iacon, and it's just pushed aside as a sub-plot, which is barely focused on.
In addition, Megatron's overall plan is pretty dumb. Why go through all the trouble of rebuilding these engines before you have what's needed to power it? And a second skin that destroys everything up above? Hey, I have an idea, if your goal is conquest and your gonna destroy the Autobots anyway, why not just take all your troops underground, and do that in the first place without warning? There would be massive casualties on the Autobot side, and with Megatron's forces unharmed and not in a state of shock over what just happened, then what's left would be easy pickings.
There, I just made a much more interesting scenario. Megatron does just that, and what's left of the Autobots(the cast of G1) have to fight back and survive under the newly establised Optimus Prime.
Greed wrote:Sheogorath wrote:Nemesis Prime is the best thing to happen to Transformers, ever.
Correction, Black Convoy aka Scourge was one of the best things to happen to TFs, his bastard offspring aka Nemesis Prime(s) are some of the worse things to happen to TFs, ever. Now we are guaranteed not one but two crappy repaints of Prime.

yeah but the artists they choose for those spotlights are just horrendous!!!!
Counterpunch wrote:Dagon wrote:Beast Machines was a great show.
Agreed, and now to further throw salt in the wounds of many many a transfan:
Beast Machines is the canon ending to G1.
skywarp-2 wrote:GrimSqueaker wrote:skywarp-2 wrote:Beast Wars Megatron had an ascot!! his voice was like that of a gay man, or a really bad British accent!! he barely used his fusion canon, and was purple.. you do the math!!
BW megs rocks! He was accually evil, purple is the color of royality and he didnt need to fight in person when he could send lackys to die for him
so he was a politician versus a war general like G-1 Megatron...
