While I do love the artwork on the new style boxes..... One of my issues is that i've been victim of more than my fair share of figures with two left feet or missing weapon or something of the sort. I've learned. I now always look the figure over and ensure there are two different feet, hands, arms, a weapon, and everything I can see through the plastic. This makes me really hope Quality control is on point :BANG_HEAD:

Personally, while I haven't pre-ordered anything, I like having the knowledge that I don't have to try and fight distribution for a figure I'm excited for. For Siege I pre-ordered Apeface (who is still one of my favorite figures from Siege), but if I hadn't I never would have seen him, and I pre-ordered Snapdragon, but that was because of the BOGO sale which meant I got him for $10.

And if I pre-order anything from Kingdom it'll be Primal because while there are still plenty of Siege Shockwaves clogging Target shelves near me, I feel confident that Beast Megatron won't be too difficult to find, but all the stores near me are still flooded with Siege Thundercrackers and Megatrons, and I feel it's going to get worse when the Quints and ER Megatron show up. Plus, Primal is the figure I'm most excited for of all the reveals, with Megatron and Cyclonus being right behind him

Irrelevant. Because even with a full clear window, many QC bugs are still impossible to see.

2017 was a horrible year....

Not really irrelevant.... 2017 was probably the first year I really didn't get the short end of the stick with figures really. Although i did dodge a few that year due to being able to see a Prime with two left hands.

Your milleage may vary. In 2017, I had at least 10 figures brand new with missing parts, two rights in a pair, legs glued and assembled all wrong, floppy joints galore, and so on.

Gotta say I am LOVING what kingdom has in store for us. Big Beast Wars fans and finally getting the Cyclonus I always wanted. Nowadays I tend to preorder certain characters in teh hopes that I won't find them or If im just excited, but I try to gauge ahead Of time what figures will be more readily available then others.

Also, For those who aren't entirely happy about the Kingdom deluxes being $22 US, Both Entertainment Earth and Target have the deluxes (the ones that aren't sold out that is)at $19.99 still.

They're $23 on Pulse and Amazon which would make that the true MSRP. Because of that I quickly pre-ordered all of the Deluxe figures from Target before retailers realize how much they've dropped the price by. I also ordered all of the Core figures from Target because Walmart probably wont sell them and Target can't even get rid of their smaller Siege figures so I don't have much hope for these being easily available at release. I chose Target because I get 5% off and that basically wipes out the Maine 5.5% sales tax. Still holding out hope for some sort of sale.

Looks like we still have a little time before things are released. Most retailers say Deluxe and Voyager in February and Core and Leader in March. Target says everything is coming January 1st, but surely they've got that wrong.

Considering the current proof on the ER thread that Amazon is shipping figures starting tomorrow that Hasbro still has slated for November, I wouldn't bet on that necessarily being wrong.

It's a placeholder date, they'll revise it as they get more information.

If Earthrise wave 3 is supposed to hit saturation in November though, it makes sense that the earliest Kingdom figures will start to show up in December, that's been the pattern before.

Think Weaponizers but with dinosaur skeleton altmodes.
So kinda like some of the small Dinozaurs figures?
Wham! Bam! It's a dino jam!

YES I was hoping someone else would make this connection!! Haha!
And in fact, the way the Fossilizers are skeletons but with "filling" really makes them look a LOT like DinoZaurs.

-At least the sabertooth Fossilizer got cut, the status of the crocodile-looking one wasn't mentioned
-Dinobot's packaging markets him as a Predacon

-Polar Claw was my first Transformer and when I saw that concept art I was out of my mind. Pretty disappointing to find that he's not actually planned for this toyline. Someone suggested a "Generations Selects" release and I can only hope. Makes sense that they'd highlight a fan fav like Tigatron though.

-I'm a pretty committed "hero characters" person (I'm just that way), so I for one find it disappointing to see Dinobot as a Predacon. I guess it makes sense because it DOES balance out the number of deluxe sized heroes vs. villains. He looks awesome in the packaging art and poster and I'm sure he'll be an awesome toy. Seeing as how changing sides was so integral to his story, and in fact in the original toyline he was a Maximal (before the show even aired) it seems like maybe this is either a mistake or else there will be some kind of "switcheroo" done by Hasbro somehow...like maybe his faction symbol is interchangeable or something...?? :PREDACON: >> :MAXIMAL:

Oh man oh man...Magnaboss. That would be awesome. But so far looking at the track record for my hopes n' dreams VS. reality for this toyline...that just has to be a rumor...right? Even though I have the Botcon 2016 makeshift Magnaboss CW toy, I wouldn't mind getting a new one, closer in appearance to the original. However...I believe it was confirmed nother the CC nor the Titan would be BW themed.

Also, can someone please sight where it was confirmed some characters shown in the splash page had to be cut? (i.e. Polar Claw)

I mean I would like to see some non-show characters show up again, (especially Polar Claw) but I can understand why the decision was made. Still, you would think it would take little effort to just paint over any characters in the art for the marketing that got cut before it was released to the public?
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics

Apollux on TFW (the original leaker and consistent source of info) stated that it was either a Deluxe repaint of Cheetor for Tigatron and Voyager Polar Claw, or Voyager Tigatron with a more accurate mold and no Polar Claw, and evidently they went with the later, which is also why Shadow Panther was brought in to fill that extra repaint slot in the Deluxe price point

Well I at least hope it's a danged good Tigatron.

I am seriously so pleased with how they made Cheetor's alt mode much more realistic and organic looking (because damn--that CGI model from the show was gooooofy). I jumped right on that pre-order. It's just exciting.

I'm sure they'll do similarly for Tigatron but I am still anxious to see how it's going to look. I feel like they knocked Cyclonus out of the park just all around, Primal and Pred Megs beasts alts look great (much-needed overhaul for the Munky), Rattrap's alt is a bit weirdly shaped but definitely feels much more natural than the original. Surely they'll hit a home run with Tigatron. I mean when you're up against the "tiger-themed brick" that was his 90's release, you probably can't go wrong, but still.

Nope, when Hasbro initially put the figures up for preorder it was all of Wave 2 in September and all of Wave 3 in November, and then Doubledealer came out about 2 months early, the rest of Wave 2 except the Deluxes started showing up one month early, the Wave 2 Deluxes are even now still in a weird release limbo of being out but barely and Hasbro pushing their official date for them back, so those are late, and now Wave 3 is showing/has shown up early.

I distinctly recall those dates being the case when the reveals happened at Toy Fair because I was shocked that we weren't getting anything new until September, and I thought that the dates meant Earthrise wouldn't be done until next year because I still assumed (like all of us at that point) that it would be 4 waves. That feels like it was forever ago at this point...

Traditionally doesn't Hasbro usually put street dates on wave 1 of every line and major release? That's usually when people are most often denied sales it seems. I'm not saying they can't show up sooner and January 1st is usually the release window, but I'm more likely to believe the date on Hasbro's own store to be the most accurate. What we've been seeing with Earthrise is stuff coming in stock ahead of their expected arrival date, but that's different from a street date, when they're actually allowed to sell something. It's only a matter of a few months before we know for sure.

Considering the current proof on the ER thread that Amazon is shipping figures starting tomorrow that Hasbro still has slated for November, I wouldn't bet on that necessarily being wrong.

King Kuuga wrote:It's a placeholder date, they'll revise it as they get more information.

If Earthrise wave 3 is supposed to hit saturation in November though, it makes sense that the earliest Kingdom figures will start to show up in December, that's been the pattern before.

But didn't Target have a problem with the Wave 2 Leaders for Earthrise this past summer? A lot of people were finding Doubledealer and Optimus Prime at retail for a few weeks but were being denied sale because the Target system had them street dated. So, it's not only Wave 1 were this problem can happen, apparently, or Target is just THAT incompetent.

Core Soundwave was among the earlier Core class G1 character rumors, so he's probably happening while Gears probably isn't.

Yeah, but that means we have more Core Class figures than we have listings of now, because the Target listings said 6 Cores and we already had 6 accounted for between Rattrap, Optimus, Megatron, Starscream, Vertebreak, and the other rumored Fossilizer Dracodon. If some of the Cores were missing from that count and Soundwave is coming, who's to say we aren't missing some Deluxes too, and currently-missing characters like Tarantulas are coming as well?

I don't think that's inherently LIKELY to happen, mind you, since the number of Deluxes we have leaked would give exactly 4 Deluxes per wave for 4 waves, but it give some room to speculate.

Forgot about Starscream.

Actually, I take back what I said about Core Soundwave. Looking back at the rumors, I got him and Starscream mixed up.

Coud it be that Dracodon and Vertebreak are one and the same? I ask simply because Vertebreak turned out to be a Dracorex.

I didn't believe you at first but I looked it up and indeed, a Dracorex does seem to be real enough dinosaur.

Man things are getting shaken up!!

But dang it...I'm getting confused. Do we still think we have two :MAXIMAL: :MAXIMAL: Fossilizers at this point? I know the sabretooth is apparently out of the picture (?) :-( and that was probably meant to be a Maximal since Primal was "wearing" him/her in the concept art.
