That would not have worked.
It was also done by an amateur. Don't you think Profesionals like ILM would have made it look more real? They have the computers and the training. This guys has limited resources compared to them. ILM has far better materials to render the model with.
Basically what I'm asking is, was it really necessary to have pipes hanging and exposing other parts of the character?
Hot_Rod wrote:So what you're saying is that THIS style put in the hands of pro's like ILM would in no way have worked and had a snowballs chance in hell to work just as good as the designs that were actually used? You're saying there is no possibility at all that they could have made THAT kind of design (on their high performance proffesional grade computers) look good and work with the story that was written??
P.S. That animation sequence was modeled directly from the Jazz commercial bumper out of the original show. Buy obviously, that is a whole new Transformer.
Hot_Rod wrote:OK, now let me ask you this... Was it absolutely nescessary to give Starscream and Megatron mouth pinchers, Ratchet a Beaklike feature on his face, and Optimus Prime flames? And did it HAVE to be done that Optimus Prime had to take off his face plate?
See personally, I think it looked really odd in that clip when you see Primes mouth move. It's really stiff and the motion just looks weird. And because of that, I question if the logic behind it, as I thought it turned out cartoony.... just as cartoony as any traditional aesthetic would have (I mean come on, mouth pinchers... a beak??)
But in your honest opinion, do you think they could NOT have done it any other way than what was done with the above mentioned design features?
