dinobots? maybe they could rationalize that their protoforms landed into a dinosaur animatronic exhibit and thought that the moving robosaurs were a representation of earth's existing fauna. LOL...like they'd ever buy this gip. :)) :)) :))

Laughable and unbelievable like giant transforming robots from another planet?

I for one don't want to see Grimlock, but the argument that he and the other Dinobots can't be their dinosaur selves because well ... dinosaurs are dead, seems pretty moot when you take into account that there's giant alien robots from another planet that can transform their forms are now wandering the Earth, then yeah ... dinosaurs aren't such a big stretch really.

Unless of course the government(s) have successfully managed to cover-up the down town battle...

it's easy, you see Sam gets a job as a nightwatchman at the musuem of natural history. the next thing you know, everything in the musuem comes to life at night and sam has to keep them all withing the four walls or else their sparks will extinguish come sunrise. meanwhile, they introduce Transformers Pretenders and Bludgeon uses the shell of Dick van Dyke to try to steal the power of the all-spark and or something like that....lol

i'm so ROFL at your theory for Bludgeon's pretender shell. :))

OH GOD, NO and NO!

The Matrix movies SUCKED! Keep the Wachowski's at least a continent away from anything having to do with TFs.

And I'd want Joss Whedon if I wanted unwatchable sci fi fanwank. I loathe Firefly/Serenity almost as much I loathe the Matrix movies.

And FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NO Tim Burton. I liked the first to Batman movies, but that's it. All the rest of his crapfests he released are all Johnny Depp uber goth wankfests. I couldn't even begin to go into the suckage of the majority of his "movies".

For me:

Zach Snyder: Haven't seen 300, but DOTD 04 was awesome. He knows how to keep a good pace.

Bryan Singer: He did X-men great. He could handle TFs very well.

James Cameron: The Terminator trilogy was excellent sci fi. He would be great for TFs.

Bryan singer would turn TF into a 2 hour long soap opera, like xmen.

And erm..James Cameron didnt direct Terminator 3.

Your right, it was Jonathan Mostow. And here I just said I was a Terminator fan  whoops.

Well, just add Mostow to my list.

And how could you not like X-men? I thought 1 and 2 stayed pretty true to what the comics were.

I didnt say i didnt like them, but they lacked action and just like spiderman 1 and 2 there was too much character development. I dont care who they are, i dont care if they are all emo and stuff, i dont wanna see superheroes whine about their superpowers. I wanna see people kick ass and see stuff blow up for 2 hours. I wanna be entertained and blown through the wall of the cinema, i dont wanna have to listen to my robots talk all emo and stuff for two hours like they would if someone like singer directed a tf movie.
Remember superman returns? Had like 5 minutes of cool action in it, the rest was all soap opera, i mean its superman for primus' sake! Lets see him kick some evil ass!
If i wanted deep, realistic, involving stories and plots and characters i wouldnt watch a superhero "action movie, id watch a martin scorsese flick, or something with al pacino in it, or The godfather or memento.

If you want an action movie then for crying out loud put some damn action in it! Singer is a good director and all but he hasnt got a clue when it comes to action.

Hence why people like Bay, The Wachowskis or any of the others i listed would be perfect for the job of TF2. Besides we all know Bay is coming back for more anyway, and if he dont, screw it i'll direct it and do it right! I could if i had the money, the crew, the writers and the actors. Id do a better job than Bay or any of the others would....well maybe not spielberg and Wachowskis :P

Ok i was a bit harsh there with x-men, comparing them to spiderman and all since those movies were one helluva long boring teenage emo love fest soap opera, and xmen i actually enjoyed.

However i still stand by the fact that if you are gonna make an action movie, then shoot more than 5 minutes of bloody action instead of an hour and 55 minutes of character development for slags sake!

Like i said if i wanted all that, i wouldnt watch what is apparently an action movie.

do you think there's enough room for soundwave to squeeze in for the next film since bay chose frenzy(royal henchman of soundwave) over soundwave to appear in the first one. i mean if bay does choose soundwave for his next film. soundwave will definitely going to have a different alternate mode instead of a cd boombox, because that's frenzy's alte mode.
if that's the case will you insist to see soundwave or happyily to accept bay's artistic direction to give soundwave a complete facelift and alte mode?
in my mind, soundwave's appearance in the transformer movies will be difficult to get a greenlight since his alte mode was stolen by frenzy. or if soundwave agree to have CD as its alte mode, then it might work. imagine when their roles were reversed, soundwave ejecting from frenzy's chest....

Nope.

See, one of the things the "true fans" love to say is to insult the intelligence of someone who likes action movies with big explosions, half naked chicks, and no storyline. They like to call them low brow, rednecks, or unevolved apes.

Totally ruined the joke for me dude. :P

No. Nonononono.

This is not a "Which character do you want" thread, like the rest of the forum. This is a "Which Director do you want" thread.

Keep the characters out of this.

Has shin ever done a movie other than the original, also why would Bay not make a sequel since the first one was highly profitable.

Because Bay and GM boss are buddies.

Movie #2 will be with Toyota. Bay can't take that. So he quits.

I've read a couple of news articles about that. How they were really close. Bay and GM working together several times in the past. Should be some GM commercials directed by Bay if i'm not mistaken. I don't remember very well.

A couple of years before the Movie showing, GM boss took Bay into GM's top secret design facility. It's something like, no outsiders have ever walked into that except Bay. That's where Bay chose all the vehicles to be used for Autobots.

I didn't bookmarks those news articles. Sorry. So i can't offer solid evidence.

But if i ever encounter them again, or if others were able to read about that, pls post the links here.

Yes Bay has directed several GMC commercials...and has a bigtime relationship with them as they have given him countless stunt cars for many of his movies...Now when it comes to directing commercials I give Bay credit, because commercials are suppose to be really F'in COMMERCIAL, and he can do that like scratching his nose...

I give him props on commercials (I mean that and music videos is where he got his start)..He's actually won an award for GMC, but there's a reason most commercial directors don't become feature film directors...
