Ive got 2 weeks off starting a week sunday, so Im looking to run a hunt. Due to the fact i wasnt sure when I was to be off sooner, I have had no time to really think about a story or any targets, so I want ideas.

Gimme some ideas, and we'll see what happens!

Land, Sea and Air.
All alts count, but you can only claim ground-based alts, or aerial alts, or naval alts. But you'd have to choose before the first claim, to make it that bit more challenging.

TS, I think your idea has potential, but only as a target for the bots/maxis, there simply isnt enough (any?) insects on the bot/maxi side for the cons/preds to target. If anybody can think of a suitable target for the con/preds then I think it might be a possibility.

JP, I like that idea, might need a bit of developing, but i like it.

alt hunts are fun,but the #s change too much at times to have a balanced # of active targets for each faction at any given time,so maybe have the more active players place some of there team on the hunt list too even it out some,or have a canon hunt,or a namesake hunt thrown in to help even out whatever hunt you decide on having just for more targets for all factions,and more targets for all too hunt would be the way to go.IMHO

How about a hunt for alts based on faction leaders? All the various alts based on Prime, Megatron, Galvatron, Primal and that other Megatron should total quite a nice number.

Nice to see the return of the althunt, whoever first came up with these is clearly a genius... ;;)

The very first ever althunt was for the convoy alt, won by Otago.

A leader hunt would be fun but depends on the alt numbers, these days its not too well balanced and finding a themed set that the same number on both sides can be a bitch.

How about a "traitor" hunt? The targets on the autobot/con side would be the animals, and on the pred/max side the machine-alts?

Yo Red, hows things?

Heres a few ideas for ya,

"Breach their defenses!" I dunno if preds and maxi have them but battle stations could be interesting. Destroy a battle station using any alt.

"Meals on wheels" Any alt with teeth (Dinosaurs, animals, etc.) vs any alt on four wheels (cars, trucks, etc.). Kill any animal alt using a four wheel alt and vice versa.

"Dogfight Dogpile!" all out war between flying alts. Kill any flying alt using your own flying alt/s.

Hey red how about a tag team alt hunt. Two players team up one would consintrate on the land alt's one on the air. Might not be as good as some of the other ideas thought i'd throw it out there.

Ohh, I do like that idea. I like that idea a lot.

How's a bout this for a potential:

one partner takes out the canons, whilst the other takes out the medics to prevent them repairing the canons!

EDIT:

I've just thought, in my last hunt I introduced a new idea. What if (and this might help teams chose who gets which target) people get bonus points for taking out medics with cannons and vica verca? Although in my last use of it, it resulted in one player dominating the procedings, I think it adds a different angle to your traditaion hunt idea.

As a side to it you could have teams not only compete for stasised alt's. But see who can keep the lowest cummulative repair score just convert the percentages to a numerical value.

Yeah in my head it sounded good till I tried to put theory in to practice. Oh well run with the tag team idea if you want I think it could be quite fun.

how about we do away with Hunting and just runa a good old fashioned "Missions ending in #" tournie? it's been a good year since we Fuel the fires of war, we've don a good number of varied and interesting hunts in last year, but no proper tournie sisnce Fuel.

i would, I'm sure JP can write a decent yarn, and we can drum up some others to scan through the missions at the end to tot up scores,

I would help tally the scores but as i've never been in a tournie I might need a little schooling on it.

the easiest way we've run it before is to say that all missions ending in 0(or even numbers, or multiples of 5, etc) are tournie missions, then we count which faction wins the most.
