Robot modes

Looks like OS has instituted the beginnings of the robot mode abilities - and they will, in fact, have abilities.

So far the abilities do not appear to affect level, and there is only one choosable robot mode with abilities. Just gave Optimus Prime 5 points in it and threw him in a mission...

We'll see if anything interesting happens.

For now, don't use them on anything that you aren't willing to reset.

I think I found a bug. My guys lose their tactics when I give them a Robot mode.

There's 2. You click on metropplex, but it reverts back to the Protoform mode after a moment. And the bot ability goes away from the bio page, and you have to click on theirt bot mode in the upgrade for it to give you the stats.

Yeah. I can't duplicate your problem on my bots though Caelus. Anyone else seeing this problem?

After double checking, the tactic points are still there when I go back to the upgrade screen, but they don't appear in the character's profile screen.

I'll put Pratfall in a battle. If he Rams at all, we'll know it is just the display that is bugged.

Edit: And now he's displaying 3 Ram instead of 0 (what he was displaying) or 7 (what he should have)? So, that sort of screws up that experiment.

I do, but it appears that they only dissapear in the viewing page. I still see the tactics in the upgrade and team view pages. I have not tested whether or not they still work in missions/area or not yet.

Their in your Upgrade page, Or have you looked there already?
It seems to be working fine as far as I can tell.

go to your upgrade page, select Metroplex (the only bot mode I have in the system right now) and you should be able to give him stats or leave him alone without it effecting anything else.

PS...Developing your bot mode's abilities will not affect your level. I won't say exactly what each bot mode enhances because you all can figure it out :P

I reported this on the bugs page. Apparantly the stats show up on the upgrade page and on the team view page as they're supposed to, but they are erroneous on the character view page.

And I just noticed that Optimus Prime's robot mode just reverted to the base mode with no ability, according to the character page. However, the total unspent XP still accounts for the points I bought for the robot ability.

Good thing Prime's alt is always available so I can just reset him if need be. Kinda why I chose him.

Fixed that one bug and reset everyone's bot modes about 10 minutes ago. Your alt mode tactics should display correctly now and you should be able to do whatever you want with your bot mode.

If he is back as a protoform just reset him and you should get your xp back.

and if you can abuse something people will, we see it with the kremzeeks strafing your allies we saw it with enduring avoiders/repairers, more so now as "nothing really matters as it's all gonna reset anyway"

what's stoppong OS giving them the same boost to your level as they do to your power; teensy boost in power teency bit closer to the next level

Much like the effect of mini-cons was suppose to be "teensy" and we've seen how they can be used for exploiting.

I just don't see why it can't count towards your level, because then we can move to level 12. It opens up even MORE levels. :grin:

Gore just finished his first mission with his robot mode maxed out and aside from completely trashing The Fallen and his buddies there wasn't anything overly noticeable.

Were you also using a Minicon?

I just don't see why it can't count towards your level, because then we can move to level 12. It opens up even MORE levels. :grin:


Just the one actually - if it counted toward your level in proportion to its effect, it would barely get you into level 12 when maxed out.
