The Headhunters have been persuaded to hold a special hunt by Psychout. Why is this a challenge for our factions? The special hunt will be for bounty hunter licenses. Each faction will get some, whether it's 3 per faction or based off factional participation. There wont be a whole lot of time for the sign ups, I don't even know how much, but for the love of whatever god you believe in, SIGN UP! Especially you Maximals. Two people was pathetic, and the more people that sign up, then there could be more hunters for your faction. And it shows that, we, the beast factions of Heavy Metal War, can be organized and be a force in this game, even with our smaller numbers!

This is my challenge to you guys. Show that you're a active contributer to the game. Sign up!

This is in no way shape or form a sign up thread. This is simply to drum up interest for the 4 Way hunt among the beast factions, because while the Predacons had a decient showing, the maximal's had a pretty pathetic one. If the powers that be want to use this to gauge interest from our factions in the hunt, cool, but posting here doesn't promise you a spot in the hunt.

I expect a official sign up thread for all four factions soon.

And don't forget, this is also the beast factions chance to earn equal representation in something for the war.

So I had brought up illegal bounty hunting in the old thread. Basically you can hunt bounties without a liscence, but at the same time you are open to be scalped and if someone can get your team you have to pay a "fine" of whatever the reward would be if there was a bounty on you. or maybe a standing set number fine of like 25k

Anyone think this sounds like a good idea?

No where do it say "this is a sign up thread." It's to get them going so they will sign up for it when the Headhunters (yes Psychout, I think they should run the hunt, that'd be cool) start the sign up. Since this is only to get interest between the beast factions, and the hunt is going to be for all 4 factions, it should go without saying.

Dunno about anyone else, but I read that and took this to be the signing up thread.

My recommendation, use this thread as the sign up thread. No point having a "show your interest" type thread, then start another one in a few days for actual sign ups and have the contest start in two weeks (should get everyone clear of the holidays)

While I understand your view of this post, to me that would sound like a sign up invitation.

Maybe word it as "Sign ups coming soon"

After having a gentleman's drink and reading the last hunter's thread (I also partook in a gentleman's laugh, you guys sure are funny. IT'S A GAME), I simply have to join in the fun!

If/when signups begin, I'm in for it.

I suppose I fail for over estimating common sense of the human race. Cause, I thought that it pretty clearly stated that the game would be between the 4 factions, and my challenge was just to the maximals and predacons to contribute, and thus, if it's a hunt for all four factions, why would the sign ups be for all 2...

I had also thought I had put something about Psychout or the Headhunter putting up the thread, but I guess I didn't on this thread.

And the rest is kind of history. But yeah, four factions? You brought it up. But yeah, it's clearly obvious that this was intended to be a Beast only thing. No one's disputing that.

Original working thread for tournament (for those with forum navigation paralysis)

It was originally meant to be a Max/Pred only first, followed by a 4-way. Based on previous signups the balance seemed pretty strong and the Beast-to-start was more for story than organization. It can easily be redone as 4-way from the beginning
<tangent> from a story perspective no one else has volunteered to "assist" thereofore nothing's yet written; I personally don't have the embedded character knowledge to represent others well. </tangent>

Given where things stand most contributors have voted toward a V2 execution of this tournament idea. My vote is to reconsider if we're in March and staff is honestly reporting V2 as 75% or less - let's see when we get there. This thread is an honest attempt to ensure Fuzzy participation which, to be repetitive, seems strong when the challenge is dropped.

Now, what's the point of this post? Information, which may prove useless... but I'm ok with that. I have a Winter Lager to return to.

To be honest, when I looked at this earlier, in my slightly hung over state, I wasnt sure wtf this thread was for. And in my rather tired state now, Im not much better off...

But yeah, I thought the current plan was to have this as the first event 'after the fall/after the new golden age of cybertron' (ie after the end of HMW tournie and beginning of HMW2).

It's not for the maxi vs pred tournie that Wingspan posted, it's for the special hunt for the bounty hunters licenses.
